All ninja units are really meant for opening the gates for you during siege battles but if you use their smokebomb power in conjunction with their ranged explosive attacks they can make for great defensive or offensive troops. But they are very small and very vulnerable to any attack if caught out in the open.
Apollo, you should host some Shogun 2 or FotS co-op or head-to-head campaigns! They are such amazing Total War titles, that besides Thrones of Britannia, my friends and I just keep replaying Legendary Shogun 2. It would be great to see it back on your challenge, with you guys roleplaying the clan throughout the campaign!!

i dont play that game but didnt the defender win? there was less then a minute left and if i saw it right the cap took one minute, so how should the atteckers have won if there was 1 unit somewhere hidden
Keeping his Hanzo’s Shadows on the wall to take those shots is a waste of that unit. A [veteran] unit of Shadows can do a ton of damage to the enemy so letting them absorb ammo is a shame.
The animations in shogun were so good... I feel like they've regressed in that aspect with the newer total wars. Im hoping it will be a major focus in the infantry heavy Troy total war game.
