I'm a daughter of a US citizen. I have aged out now 37. been separated for 15 years. still waiting for interview. My mom is very old now and has to keep her job so our petition won't be revoked. I feel bad for her. It makes me insanely mad to see illegals seeing reuniting with ther families in the US ever day. like they just walk through the fence like nothing has happened. no visa, no papers..while we have to spend thousands of dollars and wait til our death over here.
They need to waive the immediate family visa interview. It is ridiculous adding nine months to a year to the already long process when everything has already been approved.
The solution to solve: 1) increase visa quotas and 2) don't take any more applications or do both at the same time. Since the USCIS finances itself and lives off the application fees #2 is impossible. Not sure what the problem with #1 is though.
We really appreciate your updates it has really helped us. But to my understanding since following your page and the movement of case on both the visa bulletin and nvc backlog, clearly you can see the USA government are doing nothing absolutely nothing to clear this backlog and delays. Because after 3 years since COVID yet backlog and everything is still stuck as it was 3 years then what measures are being done or implemented. I’m in Ghana and I can boldly say there is no single person who has had their interview scheduled at the Ghana embassy in regards to the family preference visa category and yet we get weekly and monthly update of things are moving, moving to where? @@SmokeyAC my reason was due to college enrolment and she doesn't want a gap year so she needs to continue her schooling. If you want to try again for medical reason, it must accompanied with a medical letter from your doctor. Still subject to their own discretion of approval.
What do you base the priority date on? Is it the I-130? My Case was approved in 6 months, but now I'm in the long wait of I-824. Case was approved in Oct. 2022 and I sent in my I-824 in December 2022. We are still waiting for any update on the I-824. I've tried expedite contact Congress and Senator and of course no luck with anything. We are at Vermont and it seems like the wait time just continues to get even longer.
Very very pathetic. Until the USA government make a decision or pass a bill to to provide unlimited visas to the family preference this backlog will never be done with. Bcuz family preferences categories take about 75% of the backlog which is over 200000 applicants waiting for interview just in the family preference with some applicant waiting for 2 years now
The NVC that our case is at has not sent Interview Letters in 2 months. Since March 29. Nobody in our embassy Whatsapp group has gotten IL letters since then. And that was for DQ'd August. This is Dakar.
When the case is approved, the people should be given an interview "at that time"!... right then; so the NVC won't have to back track and will be immediately reduce the back log....!

My question is this: if there are over 326,000 people waiting for an interview who are DQ and have a current priority date, how long have they eligible for an interview? The NVC says that cases are scheduled on a first in first out basis. We are F2A and DQ August 24 2020. That’s six months after the Embassies shut down from Covid. Three and a half years later, it’s impossible that 300, 000 people are ahead of us in the waiting line. In 42 months of scheduling a total of approx. 1.6 million interviews, how much longer do we have to wait?
You have to take a look at how slow your embassy is going. There will be plenty of people who DQ'd after you who will get an interview well before you because their embassy may be moving faster.
@@pri_shay_dior Yes you’re right. I looked at the Immigrant Visa Issuance Statistics for Ghana Embassy. It shows how many visas were issued each month and what category for all Embassies. In FY 2021 there were no F2A visas issued. In FY 2022 there was one. In FY 2023 there was one in July, one in August, four in September and two in December. Because of the retrogression of the final action date (moved back to January 2018 and later to early February 2019) our PD was no longer current for August through December 2023. So there were only two dates when F2A visas were issued by the Ghana Embassy that could have been allocated to us. In 3 years!
@@manuelasante4183 do a search for the Visa Bulletin. Right now, the bulletin for May is out. Your priority date must be before the date posted for your category. This month it’s June 1 2021 for F2A. Our priority date is February 21 2019 so we’re current and have been since this January. We were also current from the time we became DQ until last August when the NVC retrogressed the final action date to January 8 2018 and then later in 2023 to February 8 2019.
Documentarily complete since july of 2021. Still no interview however NVC said my fees and documents are expired and i should repay fees and submit documents again. What in the world NVC is doing? Their excuse is I have not communicated with NVC for over a year hence; NVC is the one who was supposed to send me the appointment date. Can fees be expired? The embassy should be required to provide their movement per country! At least folks will have an idea of when an interview will be scheduled as make plans. This process literally makes one’s life be on hold until infinity ♾️! CR1/IR1 interviews should be waived! If an interview is needed it should be stateside! Surprise you have been picked to come to an interview! Valid marriage both show up! Not valid marriage Visa revoked! Problem solved! Family category should not take an eternity! 😂 All I can do at this point is laugh at the failures of the U.S. government’s incompetence. You speak on lawsuit - ha it is expensive, so most just suffer and wait! Thank you for your informative videos. But the US feels they can just delay the process because they are Not held accountable and are not required to meet a deadline of completion. No deadline to resolve or schedule, why should they speed up? They are working on their own pace hoping people will give up and withdraw their cases. Free money to the US because the fees are Non refundable! So sad so sad! The process is to identify any threats to the US and validate the visa category is correct for the submission. All this extra nonsense the embassy is requesting is the delay! If the required documents have been submitted and approved; why the hold up? CO putting folks on AP because folks don’t bring AOS and tax transcripts! Inconsistency between all sites !

These numbers only give a very high-level picture. The NVC needs to disclose this by COUNTRY (not the grand totals)
