  • The main auditorium in Robertson Hall, home of Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, has been renamed for Sir W. Arthur Lewis (1915-1991). This video tribute commemorates Lewis’ life and scholarship: He served on Princeton’s faculty from 1963 to 1983 and was the University’s first black full professor.     Thank you GOOGLE for not only shinning a light on sir Arthur Lewis and his historic accomplishments but for also putting my island home , St. Lucia on full blast. We're a small Island compared to many in the Caribbean but we have 2 Noble prize winners. I've never been more proud...

    He was a man of men the world is so slow we are all humans. This man was born on a great day. Thank you Sir for being a person not of color but a black man who was a man!.. Rest in peace ✌

    This great man should acknowledged in all schools he got to the top by shear hard work and belief
    Also a message here for Black Politicians always whinging for a leg up .
    The Caribbean to day would be in great shape if they listened to Arthur Lewis

    "The small island of St. Lucia had one very good high school."There were others, actually, including my alma mater St. Joseph's Convent.It's still around too...I love this vid though.I learnt some things I did not know.

      Um, Princeton is in, New Jersey - USA. ... There are many such great men in the USA. Many, many men. You just don't hear about them. They are forgotten.

      @@mellis966 Princeton came at the latter part of his career. His career was launched in the UK as you already know and because of his success there he was accepted at Princeton but you are correct there were many great men of color in the US who accomplished so much but are simply forgotten. So very sad.
