Brandell, I see you shortened the hydraulic hoses on the cutter. What other changes or repairs did you do to it before this job. Looking forward to more from you channel.
Thanks for watching! Hoping to get some more content out soon! Really that was it, other than removing the small rubber guards on either side of the deck. Not sure if you can see them really well, but they don't seem to serve a huge safety purpose, but they did prevent me from cutting the small saplings (they just bent them over....). I did replace the flat face fittings, too. It was in great shape for a used implement.
Yes sir, it sure is. Some people can do beautiful things with metal. I mostly do barbaric things! But it is nice to be able to fix and build the things that are necessary in life. Thanks for taking a peek!
Another interesting and informative video Brandell. You can never be too careful when using a chainsaw. Glad you were alert and didn’t get injured. Enjoyed the video.
What's your opinion of the bush master 42 after using it for a while? I see them for $5k even used and this seems a bit excessive, but curious to hear your thoughts. My main use case would be to clear 1-2" brush, so a heavier load than just grass. Would love to hear your thoughts!
I like it. I don't have anything to compare it to, but it has done really well for me. I got this one for $3500 used, so I'm pretty happy. I think the new price is somewhere around $7-10k, So I didn't think I did badly. I've cut upwards of 3-4 inches along fence rows, and even taken out several steel t posts on accident! It's a true hydraulic motor drive, and not a motor mated to a gear box, so I think it's definitely a more HD/commercial design than some of the others I was looking at for $2-4k.
The brake was on on your 261 and it was cold. Next time use full choke till it attempts to fire. Then slide it up to half choke and leave the brake off. Let it warm up and fell trees!
@@blackbeard7623 yessir, I'm not smart enough to start a standard carbed Stihl. I really like the M-Tronic saws because of the simplified procedure, similar to my Echo cs400, 590, and 620 saws. I always flood the standard Stihls. We are in middle Tennessee, just outside of Nashville. We lived in Knoxville for a couple years. I worked at Fulton High and coached baseball over at Austin East. Super fun times!

Welding is an art, I read that only 1% of the world population can weld 👍

Good job … hard to tell you’re a rookie😁
Thank you so much, good buddy! Maybe one day I'll be a first class operator like you!
Would like to see a video on the 261 when you get time.
Will do! It really is a great saw! Thanks for checking in!

Thanks so much, Terry! It obviously wasn't bad, but it could've been much worse if a person wasn't paying attention!
Your Right some good information right there.👍👌
Yeah, it's definitely good to keep an eye on your surroundings at all times! Thanks for checking in!

No, the brake wasn't on. It's M-Tronic, so there is only choke on and choke off.
