Four year old video, but I have never done this either. However, did your properly fit chain really stretch that much? Is the bar also greatly worn? The part that wears most quickly is the drive spur, did you check that? If the chain stretch is really the bulk of the problem, how is your oiler working?

Cutting 1 "trailer 4×6" load at a time only what size saw would u recommend ? Tossing between a 362 or a 400 saw,bearing in mind that I'll come across some big logs on the ground! Please advise, l thank you in advance Gunter 😊

There is an exception to some of the construction examples. All top handle arborist saws are pro saws, but the need to keep them light means more plastics in their construction. At least when talking about Stihl and most other major brand saws. Great video. 😎👍

YOU AND TRACTOR TIME WITH TIM are two peas in a pod. GET THAT MOWER OFF THAT 40 HP TRACTOR, YOU"RE ABOUT A 75 HP SHORT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO you know if that 40 HP tractor has a PTO brake that is activated when you turn the PTO off, IF IT DOES< SMOKED. I've never seen anybody cut hay with a rotary mower. With that overlap when you're mowing with the 7310 your only mowing about 8 ft of grass. That 40 HP tractor should have about a 5 foot rotary mower. I sold tractors for 20 years and grew up on a farm so I have had about 65 years around tractors.

Man I completely forgot about long lasso straps. I'm over here trying to think of ways to secure the rear end of a b7800 when it has 3pt attachments on it. Securing it via axles it just out the question. Had a tie down welded on and still the access wasn't ideal. I feel so silly

thanks so much ! i didn't realize there is sooooo much plastic used on the F&R series :( we are getting a heatmaster wood boiler installed and i'll be getting a chainsaw . i was in construction for a few decades and appreciate how quality tools help a job go easier , can take more abuse and they typically last much longer . i've been debating between the 271 F&R and the 261CM and the 261cm seems to be more worth the extra investment than i thought after seeing your video . take care , jeff

I believe your math is wrong. You have 2 straps going forward, and 2 straps going back. So, 3,333 x 2 = 6,666 for straps going in each direction. If you have a sudden stop, then only the 2 straps on the rear will be holding the tractor. They will have to break and the tractor surge forward 8 feet out of control before it reaches the end of the other two straps. I dislike the Y strapping method shown in the Facebook image, and mentioned by @hofzer. As I surmised, a video by @Mud Bandit Offroad shows the vehicle can roll forward or back a few inches if tied down with the "Y". That may be OK in some situations, but not all. A 3,333 strap from forward on the trailer, around an axle, and back forward to the trailer will give double the strength, 6,666 lbs per strap. Keeping in mind that the front tractor axle is only held on at the center pivot.

Those Daedong engines have tremendous torque. Much more than comparable HP Yanmar engines.

I have the 800C-E. I still start it before I put it on. Had it three weeks now, and the stupid clip broke that holds the grommet for the wire going to handle. The grommet came out, and it snapped the clip when I tried to pish the grommet back in. Should be warranty after spending $760

I have the 42 inch cutter and it runs in both directions depending on which way you want the debris to go. I use it on a John Deere 35D. Some of the best money I ever spent does an excellent job

Great video! Question... even though the Homeowners line is made of more plastic and the pro is titanium, have Stihl owners found that the Homeowners break easier? If they both hold up about the same, I would go with the cheaper. Thoughts?

I think there is little danger of front to back movement. So what I worry about is the side to side motion with the heigh center of gravity. And if the tie downs will stop any kind of rocking-tipping motion, you are home free. If the straps pull down as well as restrict forward and backwards motion, excellent. I would think the way to do that is increase the angle of the force. That would require shorter straps and a suitable latch point may not be available. In that case make sure two of the four tires do have a pull- down vector to them. Yes, I just bought four and I am seeing what others have done and thinking it through. The Stihl 201 has plastic clutch cover and as far as I know it’s not featuring an adjustable oil pump.

Thank you for the breakdown. I just bought my first chainsaw, a Stihl MS261CM. I’m just a homeowner but I wanted something that would last so I bit the bullet and bought a pro saw. I haven’t tried it yet, but will be using it soon.

Looking @ getting this same cutter and noticed you have what looks like rings on the main height lift cylinder. Do they come w/ the cutter or separate?

Why mowing backwards?

I couldn't watch this amateur-hour vid anymore after seeing all that fumbling around with the fuel bulb (well over the 6 pushes the manual states & you verified no doubt flooding the motor) and then saying to put the choke setting back to half, after it was in the run mode. Say what?! Why? Also, without touching the choke knob as the motor warms up in the ½-choke setting, you can get the blower on your back (still in ½-choke mode!) ...and when it's warmed up and you're ready to get to work, just blip the throttle and THAT will automatically move that choke knob to full open, drop the idle and you're ready to rock&roll. You said you were not smart enough to start that 800C properly. You were right. Not even smart enuf to read the instructions apparently. AND because of that, you looked like a monkey fumbling a football squirreling around w/ the pull cord. You should get something more within your range of competence. Like a rake & stable broom. You appear to be a decent fellow, but I would not hire you.

Wow that's a great looking machine! Picking up my KX033-4 this week in middle Tennessee. It was so hard to decide between the KX033 and the KX040. In the end the lack of a DPF and no EGR is what made me choose the KX033.While I do think we need to have cleaner air, Ive just had so many diesels now (with and without DPF/DEF/ EGR)....and without a doubt.....the engines with none of the emissions stuff have last twice as long as the ones with it. Also the 33 has 91% of the same breakout force as the 040, yet the 040 has nearly twice the horsepower. That tells me that they are choking that 040 motor up with the emissions stuff.

I use these strap to haul my terex 5519 forklift it weights almost 12k lbs no problems. I also use the to haul a 4x4 military vehicle with independent suspension after about losing it by tying it down by the fame. It bounced on the suspension and the straps came loose it weights about 2.5k lbs.

comparisons .there is no comparison.the iconic o26 is one of the best saws to ever run chain .the 251 or prior o25 is a what I call a throw away saw or a pickup saw this is a apples to a grapefruit comparison .pro or not there good saws but know what your buying them to do

My only concern is how close the pto is to the draw bar going over a hill, and having the two meet I've had it happen makes one big mess then getting new pto shaft for it

The side start. You are supposed to do a slow half pull until you feel tension, then let it retract and then pull it firmly

The Sthil blower 800x is lighter and more fuel efficient . Getting one soon. The Echo 9010 and Husky are a few pounds heavier.

Thanks for the video. Open vs closed transfer ports might be considered also. I don't know for sure, but it looks like many of the homeowner versions have open transfer ports, which do the job, but they aren't as fast or powerful as a closed port cylinder.
