Swear the god why do ppl need to progress ai in every field that will make people loose their job and we gain nothing good from it. Stop pushing AI into animation/anime or graphic /web design and rather push it in technologies that will actually benefit us instead of fucking us over
Shrek and Shadow made me laugh so hard. I can't believe I found AI generated coloring books on Amazon gorgeous entire you look at the fingers most AI images are uncanny valley. I use AI AI should never be the final product I use it to come up with ideas then I hire an artist I love working with artists. you get the human soul.
One major issue with A.I. replacing artists, is that A.I. is only getting this good, because of the artists it is replacing. Once there is nobody left to provide the data that A.I. needs to be trained on, we will be stuck with this art style that is just good enough for people to accept it, but we will never get any real innovation anymore. I'm currently studying computer science and while I think it is really impressive what A.I. can do, I do not want to live in a world devoid of the type of art we have today.
I think if we can't protect creatives and the creative process to some degree, it will keep people from learning how and could become a lost 'skill' if people think they can only use AI.
Worst case scenario when animation studios are exclusively using A.I., and people have lost interest in becoming an animatior because there being no market, then that will be a big problem. Even though A.I. might be trained on the finest work ever, it will always produce something slightly worse. Combine that with there only being A.I. art and voila there's the reason we won't get any improvement.
Why can't they do something like a clean up tool? Something that will clean up art work, or do tweening automatically, so an artist can use it to improve their work.
For some reason, ai engineers are really only focused on replacement of humans with pattern software. Like, no forethought. Why do we need an AI Gen Anime,
its all about disrupting the market, putting people out of a job is just "competition" and indicates how "free" our society is, I hate to turn into a neo luddite but that's the stance i'm forced to take since the idea of a career is pretty much obsolete thanks to the gig economy and the massive layoffs going on.
