Your work is incredible, and you’re an excellent RUclipsr. Great job - I feel very inspired. In fact, I tried some similar line work yesterday, but due to several “happy accidents” I find myself with a few black circles on my piece, and I wasn’t sure what to do with them. I think you may have given me my solution. Also a cat lover, with four of my own, so I appreciate your cat content. :)
Such kind words! Thank you! It makes me so happy to know that my work inspires others. Are you going to put some gold onto those happy accidents? I love the combo, it has yet to disappoint me! I have four feline children too! Cats are the best! We have a comfy cozy ecosystem at my house. Full of snuggles and naps.
@@isaacpriorart I had used pink in the line work, so I found a very similar pink metallic marker in my collection to use over the black. I think it saved the day, and pulled the piece out of the fire, but I confess it’s not my favourite creation. Right from the get go, I didn’t love the composition (pretty much as soon as I added the colour). And then it went from bad to worse when I filled in the rest of the page with multiple circles of different size. And then I hated what I did in the circles, so I filled several of them in with black. And then I needed more black for balance. So the whole piece was an exercise in problem-solving and nothing went quite as I wanted it to. It’s not terrible, and the metallic marker (Ohuhu, from Amazon - they’re really fantastic markers!) did give a good direction to the piece, but I’ve done better. Fortunately, it’s just paper and ink. There will be others!

Sounds like a really good learning experience! I have those often. A lot of my pieces dont turn out the way I see them in my head. Many years of doing the same thing has taught me never to expect whats in my head to be created. Letting go of those feelings is hard but really freeing. I'm glad you were able to continue your piece and finish it, even if its not your favorite. I'll look at those markers you mentioned! I'm always in the mood for new tools and materials.
I should have put that in the description! I'll add it! To answer you directly though, the pens I'm using are Molotow blackliner pens. I have a bunch of brands and types, but those are the ones that I've been enjoying recently.
Thanks, that was great to watch and learn!
I'm glad it was informative! Thank you!
I enjoy watching the shapes form, my cat enjoys your cats. I can draw while she looks for "the other cat" too funny.
Thank you! I'm glad both human and cat-kind can be entertained by my content.

Would you please provide the names of the pens you’re using? 😊
