    I really like the 542i, first time using it I cut up 12 inch maple no problem, still cuts good in eco mode on the small stuff.
    For me it’s perfect for limbing and smaller trees , I like running it, it feels like using a electric knife to cave a turkey. I use a Stihl 036 pro to block up the bigger logs. I think the 542i is great for older guys,,, like me.
    I have a portable 400 watt solar “suitcase type panel” , a 12 volt lithium battery and inverter, it can charge the battery for the 542i with it with no problem.

    Nice product demonstration 👍 Not convinced about electric chainsaws yet but I can see there are good applications for them.

    Battery saws have come a long way. We use the Milwaukee 20v saws for arborist work. They work very well.

    Never been a fan of top handles on the ground especially for new saw owners glad to see Husqvarna agrees with me 😁. They have their time and place right tool for the job and all that. I can see having one of the 542i next to the chipper as being handy.🤔🤑

    That little Husky electric cuts pretty good. We don't have a decent Husky dealer anywhere near me.

    Thats really neat that they have an internal switch when there is too much of a load on the saw.

      Yup, that is the big flaw with all battery saws...overheating.

    I was cutting a 20" tree with my Ego 18" chainsaw it was cutting with
    precision. I cut a 40' tree and made about 10 cuts easily.

    They have their place I guess but if it's anything like a Sthil battery, you'd. have another small fortune just in a couple batteries.

      weight is already an issue on the battery saws, I cannot imagine two batteries.

      @@BertsCustomCuts Did Rick say that the saw weighs 10lbs and 13lbs with battery? 🤔seems off as spec says 5.5lbs without battery maybe I missed something. 5.5 plus 3lb battery would put it as same weight as gas saw.

    Battery operated tools are all a joke. Just ask the NC people who are without power. Treated properly most gasoline powered tools will outlast you. Drills and drivers excluded.
