You can change default apps, even though he's right that the setting is deeply hidden, but with Microsoft, when you go through the effort to change its pre-set default apps, the Gates monopoly monster will repeatedly change your settings back at their whim when they push their updates to you. Seriously? Even after you make your desired changes, try to talk to MS about it. The best you'll get is a registry settings change suggestion from their army of "experts" trained specifically to prevent you making changes. They'll warn you that MS does not support you making registry settings. They can withdraw any implied or specific warranty. They "explanation" is that they're doing it for your better consumer experience. That's total BS.

It's a bit concerning seeing how much control Google has over information.
If they truly want to, they can easily suppress headlines and news about their company without people knowing at all.
People aren't going to bother using other engines to find out the island of information they're on. Most will be unaware of the large vast ocean of news outside of their default search engine.
This is very important important Google is held responsible for trying to monopolize information.

While agree with this in therory but also if you look at it from another angle what company doesn't try to remove the competition to increase their profits, it's just business 101 isn't it? So is apple gonna be next one to be sued for being way to successful? They muscled out their completion in just the same way? It would be bizzar if that happened but how different is it from Googles case? Such gigantic fines could be seen as one government or anothers sudo tax handed out to those who have become way to successful in lue of taxes. Yes of coause Apple still has competition but so does google, I use duck duck go as my daily search engine & have done so for years now & it's not the only one. If you look at it like that how could a government sudo tax for the super wealthy companies be seen as fair at all? What should happen is these companies should be made to pay a normal tax rate just like normal companies do but this seem just to hard to implement when the companies are headquarted in the closest tax haven. But there are so many companies doing this surely there a massive incentive for government to join each other with the goal of making them pay like normal people do & make it fair for everyone. Whats lacking is the political will to play the long game to get things changed once & for all. If enough countries agreed to this then it would absolultly be possible, especially after all those governments implement the necessary laws in each country to do so. The way it is now is insane & mega companies are incentivised to be scummy, but whatever you call it it's just not sustainable model in the long term where companies can become more powerful than multiple countries. Everyone must pay there share full stop.

This story has a major error. On an iPhone you can uninstall anything you want, it’s a myth that you can’t. You can even uninstall Apple Apps, including, Safari, Mail, Messenger, Music, Camera, News. An iPhone including all of the apps belong to the user and Apple lets the user decide what to keep. The license agreement on an iPhone is different than on an Android phone.

If I want to unlist my business, Google retroactively tells people that Im "permanently closed". Im not closing. I just find I have enough business as it is, messing with the listing is time consuming and convoluted, people assume Im buying good reviews.
The hubris thinking that if I dont remain listed, I must be bankrupted or something. I filed a request without resolve, but they still sent me a questionnaire to numerically rate on how great they are at resolving issues. Massive mistake even listing it.

Anti trust laws/practice does not stop companies from practicing unethical trade practice. I don't know of one case where new free enterprise competition was able to start and compete after a CEO was put on trial for anti-trust. What is done with the law is to get the company under more control of the government with the possible charges being so ambiguous that the CEO is scared to post a proper defense, (they will get me one way or the other.).
Has that court ever found anybody innocent? Not that I have found. "We want control of Google, and we are going to keep you in line." And they do. Ask Bill Gates.
You might understand this: It is part of communism taking over free enterprise, and the reason why you can't compete. Those results are in.

Google is forcing me to spend money on google keywords that is not relevant to my business. For over 10+ years I had the option in Google ads to control what keyword I want to show my ads based on my understanding. For example cisco ccnp training or cisco ccnp course. Since 2022, Google changed and told me that AI will decide what is relevant to my busines as if AI understand my business which is IT training. Now days I get matched for Is ccnp worth it? what is ccnp, ccnp dumbs, ccnp cheatsheet all this crap. I have to either constant add negative keyword or let google charge me for that. I have no option to go to another competition.

This is biased toward Google. All other companies like Facebook and Apple do the same thing in the area of their expertise. Many things you mentioned like uninstalling Google apps happen for other apps on different phones. For example, you can not uninstall many apps like Safari on iPhone because it belongs to Apple. In case of search engine, no one will use another search engine since Google's algorithm is way better than others. if I search on Windows the default is Bing search engine so I always change my default to Google.

Just another of the regular every day BS things Microsoft does. After yesterday's system update, my Windows 10 Pro 64-bit ran disgustingly and onerously slow. Of course, it was almost impossible to immediately locate what they installed in the Device Manager. Since whatever they added was theirs, it reports everything is working properly (which it isn't). From experience, I immediately uninstalled the update, and my computer was back to working at its normal quick boot up speed. I'm amazed that Microsoft has gotten away with its clearly anti-competitive, cram-down, shenanigans for so long. If what they do is not illegal exercise of its monopoly power, I don't know what is. It should go without saying that examination the political actions totally changed antitrust enforcement is essential to understand where we are today.
