    📜 Ingredients for 18 balls:
    350g (12.3 oz) all-purpose flour
    160ml (5.4 fl oz) milk
    60g (2 oz) butter
    60g (2 oz) sugar
    10g (0.35 oz) vanilla sugar
    2 eggs
    20g (0.8 oz) yeast
    30ml (1 fl oz) rum
    1 pinch salt
    1tsp (0.16 oz) cinnamon
    sunflower oil
    strawberry jam
    powdered sugar
    In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and salt. Make a well in the center, pour in 60ml (2 fl oz) milk and crumble the yeast. Let rest for 30 minutes.
    Separate whites and yolks. Discard the whites.
    Add the yolks, cinnamon, rum and milk to the mixture. Start kneading and pour in melted butter. Knead until a firm dough is formed. Cover the bowl with a cloth and let rise for 3 hours.
    Divide the dough into pieces by 50 grams (1.7 oz). Form balls and wrap them in white flour. Cover them with a cloth and let rest for 45 minutes.
    Heat up the pan to 120°C/250F. Add enough oil so that the balls will slightly touch the bottom of the pan (if you add too much oil, they won't get the bright stripe in the middle).
    Fry the balls from both sides 2-3 minutes until slightly brown. Be very careful not to burn them. Remove to paper towels to drain.
    Inject strawberry jam with a piping syringe to each ball and dust with powdered sugar.
