I am a retired ICU nurse one question I always was curious about was if we come across someone who has been stabbed in multiple areas including a severed artery.
So we are using tourniquets to extremities + applying direct pressure over cloth materials to all areas to decrease hemorrhaging.
But there are also stab wounds to the chest + abdominal areas as well.
When the patient was first found they were awake but suddenly they stop breathing + a pulse is not present.
I know that with each compression blood is escaping from all stab wounds.
MY QUESTION IS CAN WE INCREASE THE NUMBER OF BREATHS GIVEN, DECREASE THE NUMBER OF COMPRESSIONS, + ADJUST THE COMPRESSIONS BY THE THE THEIR DILATION OF THE PUPILS.
AS LONG AS THE PUPILS ARE NORMAL SIZE + REACTIVE TO LIGHT WE KNOW THE BRAIN IS RECEIVING ADEQUATE OXYGEN + CAN ASSUME THE MAJOR ORGANS ARE AS WELL.
IS MY ASSESSMENT CORRECT + CHANGES TO CPR THE APPROPRIATE INTERVENTION?
    But there are

My question is if the harmful material was in the other part of the body and not in the chest area, we can remove it or no.

Do not remove. Object embedded stops bleeding. It's best to leave it and allow ER doctors to remove once in hospital and can be stabilized.
