Even though the weather seemed pretty brutal during this vlog, I could just feel your sweet positive vibes radiating through the screen! Hang in there, Spring is very near!
Rewatching this again after my 4 day trip to Ams from Tokyo that I just had yesterday! Your vlogs there are helping me keep my travel high. thank you!! :)
@@LeesaYu It was amazing sunny on all 4 days which I bet is rare. Thank you! Now I'm debating whether i should move to Australia or Amsterdam, and travel more from there, coz I do love to travel. Your videos are inspirational. Rewatching some of your expat life content too!
@@kikoandoy I'm so happy to hear that! The Netherlands is just amazing when the sun is shining. Very tough decision for you - both countries are wonderful to live in ❣
Thanks for posting! Are typical work weeks only 4 days? I heard that children go to school half day on Wednesday’s. Have you noticed if parents also work half days on Wednesdays to spend time with their children? Thanks!
I think it really depends on the company you work for/industry you work in. But in the Netherlands, working 4 days (or 32 hrs) is very common even if you don't have children/caregiving duties (like in my case). Yes, you have heard correctly :) Most parents who work 4 days do indeed choose to take Wednesdays off for this reason! The second most popular day is Friday.
Check out this website, which I think answers your question well! expatica.com/nl/living/household/utilities-netherlands-100581/#connect-energy-supply We are with Vattenfall - we just went with them because they are a big provider. But there are a lot of great providers that have a greater environmental focus (e.g. greenchoice). We might move to them in the future!
i like your videos :) ive been interesting in moving to the netherlands. living in america can just feel so toxic some days tbh. if you dont mind me asking, what do you do for work?
There’s quite a few Asian supermarkets! The ones I know of is Amazing Oriental in Nieuwmarkt (the Chinatown of Amsterdam) and Hong Kong Superstore on Kinkerstraat :) and there are also many Indonesian Tokos. Hope there will be more Asian supermarkets in the future ☺️
I’m really lucky and do my Dutch classes via my husband’s workplace. However the company that runs the classes is called BLTC. I also have heard very good things about Taalboost. For self-learning, I also recommend Dutch Pod 101 (both the RUclips videos and the podcast). Good luck! 🤍🤍

congratulation on your promotion and immigrant status. It is a big burden off your chest when you get the residency status and congrats on your 10 year anniversary. Good video:)
Thank you so much! I didn’t get residency though, so can’t receive any congratulations for that 😉but for everything else, I am very happy with! Thanks for watching 🤍

@@LeesaYu yeah but your comment about Aus quality of life is the rational choice after my Ams travel high has faded. So thank you again!

Do you have suggestion on how to choose gas heat and electricity provider? And how to set them up in a new apartment? Thanks!!!
