If you really think about it; Sasuke was technically fighting against himself, the side that was bonded with his brother so deeply, which was replaced with Naruto. That part of the video where he grabs his shirt, where his heart is, was strong as fuck. He's trying so hard to stop himself from feeling that trauma again that he becomes desperate and tells himself to just let this severing happen. This whole fight was about Sasuke fighting a battle he lost at the beginning.

And because of the love it hurt him alot when he saw them getting slaughtered and that too by his beloved brother who he looked as an idol. he was completely broken and didnt want to love anyone again but when he joined team 7 he slowly started getting close to them. There he saw his love towards them growing and thats what he feared the most. That is why he started distancing himself from naruto and the team. Because he didnt want to get hurt again. he cared about naruto and he hated that he cared.
Jesus, this gives me chills every time I watch it. I always thought that connection between Naruto and Sasuke was so much more than just friendship in its common meaning. It's beyond that, it's love. I'm not talking about anything romantic or sexual, but when I think of them, same words always come to my mind: dedication, loyalty, sacrifice. They interwined with each other so deeply... They cared about each other a lot, they understood each other like no one else could, because they were always alike. To me this fight was a climax of their relationship. As two truly powerful and unwavering men with their own strong judgements they couldn't just talk it out after all... Both of them are diehards, both of them craved for something. And despite that all, I guess neither of them was ready to lose another one in the end, even though they thought differently perhaps. It's that sheer, highest form of love that is called agape. Love that is gratuitous, thoroughgoing, unconditional. That's what they developed and carried with them through years. This amv shows it perfectly. Thanks a lot for sharing it with us!

I may be 3 years to late but this edit is seriously beautiful and highlights just how deep and meaningful this show was and will always be for the fans that have been through all 15 years of it.
Honestly, I know many people have different fights as being the best one of the entire Naruto series, but this is the best in my eyes. The Naruto team went all out with this fight in terms of putting together the best display of taijutsu and ninjutsu. The fight was very visually pleasing with all of the fluid animation. Not to mention that this was the high stakes fight that ultimately decided the fate of the world. Yes, you may say Team 7 vs. Kaguya was the fate of the world fight, but if Sasuke had killed Naruto then the rest of the world would have most likely stayed imprisoned in the Infinite Tsukuyomi. the scene selections, sound editing, storyboarding and flow in this edit is one of the best i’ve ever seen. Even when Sakura yells in the beginning you can tell that it matches with the musics beat. the attention to detail is unnoticed by many people and i kinda hate that. you made a masterpiece and i hope you are working in the film industry today.
