This song makes me think of the bad and good of that day the good (greatest) thing I got besides my freedom was the protection and love from a complete stranger. He could have left me but he chose to sacrifice himself to save me and my children.

Modern country is so different from what i expected, and then Hardy and Lainey Wilson came on and sung this live. Man, that was it.....this song resonates truth like very few others ever do.

I put him in prison for 2 1/2 years for domestic violence and abduction, should have been 7-10, but he copped a plea. I realize now that if I would have pulled the trigger, I would always be his victim. I'm still single after almost 5 years, still dealing with the issues, but I'm a survivor. I keep moving forward. I walked in with him beating her head and I dropped him to the floor. Every time he's up for parole I'm there showing his file, her photos, and I admit I took him out at his knees. Middle sister don't play like that. I was furious with the laws in our state, our dad was a cop too. I yelled at our Senator that my big sister wasn't going to be the poster board of how restraining orders are just a piece of paper if the nitwit doesn't respect it. I hid her for a month in another state. I made lost dog flyers with his photo hung them everywhere with a reward. I did get a call. I went in did my deed and waited for the police to arrest him again. Some men are not men at all. And sadly domestic violence happens to both sexes. Prayers to all you survivors 🙏

If you like her voice you should check out heart like a truck by her. She’s got that old country soul about her in my opinion.

"I never thought my day of Justice would come from a "Judge" under a seat." Could be taken a few ways. A gun under a seat, or the Gun under the seat was a Taurus "Judge". I love this song.

This song and video are ABSOLUTELY amazing!!!! And the story telling is phenomenal!!!!! But WHY….would she trust a complete stranger when he tells her to get INTO the truck to begin with???

She said, "I never thought my day of justice would come from a Judge under a seat." "Judge" is the name of a colt .45- a Taurus Judge. Her justice came from the gun under his seat. Awesome song lyrics!

She said a judge under the seat. He gave up his freedom to keep a stranger and other women safe from an abuser. As someone who has been through this the song truly hits home. Makes me cry but I listen to it a lot.

I've heard many of these reactions to this song - None of then seen to catch what she says "I never thought my justice would come from a judge under a seat" which is a key line - they just jump to "Wait in the truck" It is a great song & video - written so perfectly - HARDY is an awesome artist and song writer I think he is the next big Country Star.💯

I love Michael and the concept of the video, it makes an already powerful song even more powerful. I also love how Lainey basically has the chorus by herself during the trial.

First time i heard this song it totally hit home for me... Watched my mama live through years & years of Domestic Violence, i suffered through it too and i have seen a couple of my close friends also have to deal with it as well...this was a total stranger that went and stood up for this girl... When it's happening in real life, the people you know are only able to talk down to you and tell you that you stay cause you want to stay... Imagine if in a good (not perfect) world, where the people that say they care about you would stand up for those having to live with domestic violence... maybe we would have the strength to actually leave...before the situation got to the point it did in this video... It took a stranger to help her get away...
WAY TO OF HARDY AND LAINEY!
