I owned one in the late 70's, Wish I still had it. It was rust free at that time. I subscribed, liked and shared. All my best.

Thank you for the support. I love these old Coronets. My 69 Super Bee is like that I bought it in 83 it about as rust free as they get for a Midwest car.

Some time I feel about as crazy as the mad hatter for taking on the project but all in all I’m enjoying it. Thanks for the support.

What do you mean which fender tags to read? Each tag goes to each vehicle and are not interchangeable. If you wish to "save the RT" then you need to be working on the RT not this car. I am not a purist by any stretch but the RT has an RT VIN, this car you are working on does not. Now if you are thinking of swapping the dash with the VIN, well there are some significant legal issues there. There are VIN numbers stamped on the the radiator core support and left rear trunk gutter.

I understand what you’re saying at the same time I never once said I was switching the vin numbers on any car, I using 3 cars to build one makes it hard to determine which fender tag to read. It was an honest statement. Thanks for your support.

@@Millersmopars Sorry I was not trying to imply that you were switching VINs, I just didn't understand your statement of "trying to rebuild the RT". Oh well, drive on.

@@MH-rb7lp what I’m doing to this car is well documented, nothing about it is original. The body numbers or sequence numbers you speak of on the radiator support, isn’t going to match the one on the trunk drip well. Nether of them will match the vin number, the vin number on the engine isn’t going to match the one on the dash nor the one on the transmission. I haven’t decided if I’m even going to put an automatic or 4 speed in the car yet but the vin won’t match any other on them either. I’m planning on painting the car citron yella which is a 71 color with a 6 pack hood R/T stripe, taillights and tail light /with trim panel. Like to put a Dana 60 in it but right now I’ll probably use an 83/4. It being built mostly as a driver with a majority of parts I have collected over the years.
