UCAST/WOODCAST GreenLine - bio-based splinting material | Ottobock Professionals

UCAST and WOODCAST are splinting systems for the treatment of fractures and ligament injuries.
WOODCAST is a customised system consisting of various individual components. UCAST is prefabricated, contains all the necessary components and can be used for treatment in less than 10 minutes. Both systems offer cleaner, faster processing compared to plaster or fibreglass dressings and are made from renewable, compostable aspen wood particles and biopolymers. They are radiolucent and latex-free and part of our growing GreenLine range:
We want to offer more sustainable materials, which partly consist of organic raw materials, but at the same time meet the high professional standards in orthopaedic technology. The aim is to produce materials that, for example produce less waste thanks to its compostability, consist of renewable raw materials or which are less harmful to health during processing. This allows O&P professionals to focus on what is most important - its users.
