Please forgive, but thank you for your great coverage as always and for letting me know I"m also not the only fan of cheese's dog. Am I the only one who doesn't think for a moment Daemon was sincere? Even with the vision, I still get the feeling that he's more like: They're bending the knee to her, but only because of me. She might be destined to be crowned, but it doesn't mean she will wield the power.
Good point, RR! On the surface, it looks like Daemon is now a true believer, but as you say, it seems in character for him to play the part, seeing it as a means to an end.
I was one of those people who was disappointed in the finale. 🙋🏾♀ I was hoping for another dragon fight or something. I couldn’t understand why they didn’t at least show Rhaena claim/bond with Sheepstealer. I do wonder if Larys was involved in Otto’s incarceration. Now we have to wait 2 whole years for the next season? That’s too long! Maybe they could break it up by giving us the first half next year and then the rest the 2nd year? Give us a taste to carry us over! I did like the scene between Corlys and Allyn, finding out more about Allyn’s motivations. We can’t help but sympathize with him. The scene between Rhaenyra and Alicent was good, too. Alicent has been so frustrating throughout the show, listening to Otto’s fearmongering and forcing Aegon to be king. I could totally relate to Rhaenyra’s impatience with her! I’ve heard people who read the books complain that Rhaenya and Alicent are more ruthless in the book. They got most of us rooting for Team Black. They could have allowed them to be that way and maintain our interest. In Succession, the whole family was messed up, but I was compelled to keep watching. I do wonder if Larys was involved in Otto’s incarcerations? I was glad they showed us his situation without waiting until next season.
Great point about the show's depiction of Team Black versus Team Green. I'd like to see a viewer poll, because I assume viewers would be overwhelmingly in favor of Team Black.

From what I’ve learned, Warner Bros. Is having some financial difficulty which made HBO say “hey! Cut the season down to 8 episodes”
