- Hi everyone!
In this video I'll be showing you how to make a macrame photo frame (to fit a 6x4 picture).
(of course you can customise it to fit a different size picture if you'd like).
I am using a 3mm cord in beige.
Knots I'll be using:
•Clove hitch diamond with square knot in the middle.
•Square knot.
•Double half hitch knot.
Cord lengths:
6 x 3m
14 x 2m

I love this a piece! It’s great getting to see it from the 1st knot to the brush out of the fringe, this is very nice!
I’m trying to get my 14 yr old granddaughter into macrame. When I was in high school in the early 70’s macrame was huge for plant hangers. I was always making great pieces keeping many for my own plants and others I’d give away to my pals in school. Was always getting requests too, if they could pay for the cord I’d create something they’d like.
Now I’m getting back into it and want to spread macrame love to my g-daughter and this would be an excellent starting piece! It’s relatively quick and seeing such intricate progress is very inspiring and rewarding for someone just beginning.
Thanks to your beginning to end tutorial she’ll be able to keep a good understanding of where she’s at progress wise.
I haven’t checked yet, but maybe you’ve got some more videos out of some of your other projects.
Did you link the kind of cord you used … I should have checked first.

One thread length is 3 m or after binding with the cord the length is 3 m?.. btw liked it! Trying to do this one now!!

It's 3m before folding in half and attaching to the stick. Hope that helps. Enjoy the project 😊

i'm a bit confused, it seems a little longer to me in person (typing this with a wooden stick and macrame thread in my hands) i'm making this for 12 by 8 dimension photograph, almost an A4 size

I don't know. I haven't tried. But I think it'll just make a bigger frame
