How to make a macrame net bag
using basic knot🌿
I made a macrame net bag
using square knot and 3-ply braid knot.
When you connect the bottom of the bag in this work,
you might not understand it well
because the video is a little fast.

Materials: 4mm (fatness of the cord). Can use any, braided, 3-strand twisted, single strand. You have to cut 40 pieces of cord, each measuring 180 cm long and 8;cords, each measuring 200 cm long. All that matters is that it’s 4mm in diameter cord. Video uses polyester cord, 4mm, both easily found online. Search 4mm braided polyester cord. I found some in the laundry section as clothesline.

This reminds me of the rime when scubi was in trend in all the girls in the class including myself, we use to make different knot and use to make key chain for the bag. Every single girl in my class has those.
(scubi was basically a plastic wire which used to come in different colors)

What should be the length of the cords to make a 12 inch long bag? Is there any proportion between length of the cords and length of the bag?
It is not easy to estimate the amount of rope used accurately.
It depends on the thickness of the rope and the pattern used.
Usually, It requires 5 to 6 times the finished size.
But because it is used by folding it in half, it actually needs 10 to 12 times.
In this bag, 180cm was needed
to make it 27 cm long(height).
I used about 7 times.
If you want 30cm long(12 inch),
you need cords of 30x7=210cm.

I just want to know, how much thread is left hanging at the end when the knots are being made to seal the bottom of the bag.
Since material isn't easily available here, I want to minimise the material that is left unused in the process :)

I think there were about 30cm left.
They actually had about 60cm left because I used the cords by folding them in half.
I recommend you to use enough of cords.~~

Maria que pena ela não sabe traduzir pra nós, mas assisto a Osana Macramê, tenho aprendido com ela e vejo ela usar e tbm fala dos cordões e barbantes, acho que esse é o cordão Macramê difícil de achar, tem um caimento maravilhoso, da uma olhada nos vídeos dela que vai ver. Eu vejo muitos outros tbm, aprendendo com uma e outra nem que seja olhando. E não achei difícil essa bolsa, mas gostaria quanto de cordão pra não ficar na mão.
