How to train like a professional boxer | Conor Benn TV

- In this video I'll show you a session with my coach Tony Sims. In this fly-on-the-wall video we'll show you an excusing insight into a training session of a professional boxer.
I start off with a little warm up, which usually consists of shadow boxing, skipping and a couple of rounds under the pipes (we use foam pipes to practise slipping and rolling - a great way to drill good habits).
Then we move on to 6 rounds of intense shadow boxing - when shadow boxing, its important to visualise yourself in a fight and with an opponent. As opposed to sparring, you can focus on your own movement better and work on certain elements better than in a spar.
We then move on to 6 rounds on the heavy bag - this is a great way to work on speed, combinations and strength. I always visualise as if the heavy bag could punch back, and focus on movement and defence.
Finally, we unwind with a couple of rounds on the speed ball, this works on speed and hand-eye coordination.
Not every session is like this and we tailor our approach to different fighters. But whilst we still have a long way out till fight date - it's a good look at some of the things we're working on.

This is just my subjective opinion, but my observation is Conor Benn is the most improved boxer since the beginning of lockdown 2020
I would love to come train with you been boxing since I was 12 I’m 18 now and I’m looking to turn pro soon, would be good to do some sparring weigh around 65- 67kg🥊 use to box down repton with jimmy sains and some other good boxers.
You should get a RUclips channel going, documenting the process of turning pro etc. That’d be a great way to build a fan base. Also, if you use Reddit, check out r/boxing. Swedish 140lb World title challenger Anthony Yigit posts on Reddit with pics/vids/updates of is his training and upcoming fights, which seems to have helped his profile in the UK. Good luck either way!
