Its called common sense. As a small boy my dad would point out when I wasn't using common sense. Tell me to think about it then ask me what should be the real solution. Not necessarily the popular one. He would say hey that's common sense. It doesn't matter what political party we believe. Or what faith we have. We can unite to use common sense. Tom just did that for this entire video. We can solve these issues together peacefully. Tearing each other apart accomplishes nothing.

This is the first song I heard from him, like most people. I was in shock and awe because I've never heard anyone say anything like this in song form. I was hooked and haven't looked back since. For me, it was the same. I loved her first Nightwish reaction and even more when she reacted to my favorite sisters from Mexico ( *The Warning* ) but when I saw this I realized that we both also agree on the message in Tom's videos. From a musical standpoint, this is not that hot, but the message is so important.
Glad to hear someone mention Nightwish. One of my favorites, Century Child, Wishmaster, Once, and even Dark Passion Play(first without Tarja) were masterpieces, they poured their hearts into those albums.

I'd say I'm a metalhead listening mostly to metal/rock. The only hiphop i like is Tom and Nova, they're just fantastic!

It will be excellent to follow your Tom-journey - so many gems to discover! And check out Nova's "Hey You", I love that song. Wish she'd make more music...
I use to just be a metalhead. You might like rappers Immortal technique, jedi mind tricks and the bands from their members. Oh Spose is a good/funny rapper especailly knocking on wood. Always nice for that song to come on after a bad day.
Also this rocks if you need to work out. "Zak Meow ft Born I - Born To Rise (Zardonic Remix)". But zardonic makes any song better. Kinda electronic metalish depending on the songs.
And it is nice watching/seeing the Tom-journey. enjoyed watching OTB BROS REACTIONS on their tom journey.
@@non1503 Thanks - I'll check this out. However, I can't stand rap where the lyrics are like how many guns/knifes they have (and who they're gonna kill), how much drugs they sell or how much money they make/want robbing someone. Also, downgrading women is a major turnoff for me.
Seems to me a lot of rap is about "live in a ghetto", hate the police, doing drugs, make a million $, being the greatest and so on. That gives me nothing - no matter how good the flow, cadence or beat is. There's like...no hope, no spirit, no solutions?
Oh well...I doubt I will ever become a true hiphop/rap-fan but I'm grateful for your response and suggestions - I will check them out. Thanks!

Been a metalhead for 10+ years, only delved into rap like 3 years ago. But man, it might seem like a weird comb, but metal and rap are a lot alike imo. They embody a lot of the same emotions and feelings, and in both genres there's a relative high amount of musicians unwilling to compromise, speaking their truth without fear. Tom, Hopsin, Kendrick, Joyner, Em, in my world they're no less than Metallica, Meshuggah, Maiden, and so on.
Same here Semper. Think I like Tom because his music is message heavy just like metal bands going all the way back to Sabbath. They've all had something to say and its basically good vs evil and it attracts people with high levels of empathy. Tom is a rapper with things to say and right now those things are really important and also what most of the right-minded folk in the world are thinking.....gives us a voice too. Also I'd highly recommend Ren, a British rapper who has been through some horrific experiences, his song 'Hi Ren' says it all.

I was 56 yrs old and came across fake woke. Man when I heard that I was in hysterics. I never got into rap but when I heard that rap I was sold. I have since bought 4 cd's including Revolution and Renegade....Tom MacDonald is a very talented artist....I'm 58 now and I'm always listening to him. I've gotten my niece and nephew listening to him....

If you really want to get a idea for who Tom is go back to where he blew up with Dear Rappers, and just work forward. His new albums btw are absolute 🔥 out of 34 songs there’s not one that comes on that I think about skipping. Two of the best written albums I have ever heard, usually there’s always a couple duds on any album. Tom was not exaggerating in his video about how hard he tried to give us hIs best with these albums. #HOG
