I agree that these are a bit unrealistic at under 2 years old. It’s probably not good developmentally to push this behavior of cleaning spills up and taking laundry out. Let your kids be kids and grow at their own pace. There should be little no expectations, just read to them, listen, and be repetitive with words but no kids are cleaning up their toys and doing household chores at 17 months. They aren’t even by 2 usually.
Well I'm sure glad to hear this because my daughter will help clean but alot of whats in this video she's not necessarily doing yet. She's happy but haven't reached some of these milestones
To each his own. Either way her child seemed to be enjoying it. What’s wrong with that? Didn’t seem like expectations but more like fun ways to involve them in daily activities that you can’t avoid as a parent. Seems much more beneficial to involve them rather than possibly reprimand them, ignore them or put them in front of a screen, for example.
The way she just sits and focuses on one toy at a time- is there a trick to that? Do I have too many toys in reach? He seems bored and uninterested in his toys and gets into anything else instead 😩
It may be. Also, it can be possible that he wants to play accompanied. You don't need to play WITH him but you can play BESIDE or near him. He may want both of you to engage in the same activity together. That may work.
I know a child under 2 who does and says way more than what she showed in this video for her child. It's very possible, some children are more advanced. Don't hate
Nice information well explained thank you so much for sharing it's really helpful I just💖 love to enjoy my daughter activities these all things my baby doing she also learn are rituals 😍
My baby is ahead with all these except speech, as he's growing up bilingual so he'll naturally start speaking a later than his peers who are monolingual.
My baby doesn’t do any of this but it’s because I need to practice so I have been watching videos so now it’s time for me to practice all these things every day
Wow you've done such a good job! I'm super worried about my 17 month old boy! He's not talking, he's doesn't feed himself, he doesn't drink on his own accord, he doesn't listen if I try to model anything, he doesn't try to help me with my cleaning or anything.. i don't know what I'm doing wrong
Don’t feel bad mine doesn’t either, almost 17 months. I have to stop watching these kind of videos because every baby is different with their development. :)
I think its more important that you recognize where they're at and teach to that level. Age is just a number. My first and second kid were day and night in what they were able to do. Eventually they all get there (and watch out for delays, as some kids need added support, but the bar for that is not this child 😆 😉).
Hi! I have a 17 month old too and I wonder how is your son now? Im just worried about mine too because he isnt as active as the baby girl on the video.
@@brandi92yhi my baby is almost 17 months and he doesn’t talk yet either except mama once in a blue, I know your comment was a long time ago but when did your baby actually start talking I’m just wondering when mine will thanks.
What you recommend for bilingual families? I want her to learn English and English is more natural for me now that I’m a adult but Spanish is my first language.
The milestones are the same regardless of what language you speak so you can definitely still work with your little one on these! As far as bilingual families are concerned, if you have the ability to integrate both languages into your child’s life it will definitely give them an advantage and I would recommend doing so!
I really enjoyed this development milestone video! Ainsleigh and Christian are so cute!! Christian is such a wonderful big brother! Thank you! Have a lovely week! 🌸🌺🌼🌻
Lol, I can see that. Meeting kids that are advance does as well. But its good to see how to teach a kid, then adjust for your kids stage. That being said, my kids doing all this and can draw just moving her hand so maybe I lack empathy 😑. Either way it's good for parents to see different kids learning at different levels so they know what to expect when their kid goes to school with me kid 🙂. Don't get stressed, every kid eventually learns all of this and more. Just apply the tips where u can and enjoy the journey. I'm sure your kid is as awesome in their own way 😁
There are parents who are genuinely interested on things they can do to help their toddlers meet certain milestones. Not to say the child that isn't, that something is wrong. I don't compare my baby, if I try and he's not interested I know he'll get it eventually

Reliably and consistently, I agree

So true
Trying new things isn’t unrealistic and there are some expectations. Your child’s doctor will tell if they are behind on certain skills.
The way she just sits and focuses on one toy at a time- is there a trick to that? Do I have too many toys in reach? He seems bored and uninterested in his toys and gets into anything else instead 😩
Same with my son
It may be. Also, it can be possible that he wants to play accompanied. You don't need to play WITH him but you can play BESIDE or near him. He may want both of you to engage in the same activity together. That may work.
I always wonder how we did it 30 years ago without RUclips (just wanted to add that lol)
Hello I watch my 17 month old granddaughter I always feel like I'm not helping her enough so I appreciate your videos they are very helpful.
Her kids are so smart! Makes me feel like a failure!😔
I feel like this child is older I’m sorry just saying
I know a child under 2 who does and says way more than what she showed in this video for her child. It's very possible, some children are more advanced. Don't hate
My 15 month old daughter only days 3 words consistently.. I'm grateful to your tips and I'll be implementing them starting tomorrow.
Ainsleigh is too adorable 🥰 so sweet to see Bro Bro so patient with her. ❤️
I’m struggling teaching my 17 month old twins thank you for this!!
You are so welcome! We hope you enjoy the rest of the developmental milestones series! 🥰
As a twin, I can imagine. ❤
My baby is 17 months old and doesn’t do none of this😣 idk how to teach or discipline her…
Mine doesn’t either, it’s ok. All babies develop on their own time :)
Babies see things as objects at this age so it won't have much effect
Nice information well explained thank you so much for sharing it's really helpful I just💖 love to enjoy my daughter activities these all things my baby doing she also learn are rituals 😍
Shoot I should be doing more with him! Thanks for this videos it’s really helpful !!!
Where is your babies bed from
My baby does everything but her speech seems way behind. She says yes, bath, daddy, mama, that’s it
Same with my son I’ve been worried
Update??… I heard sometimes by age two the speech will kick in all of a sudden.
My baby is ahead with all these except speech, as he's growing up bilingual so he'll naturally start speaking a later than his peers who are monolingual.
Same here.
So my toddler is 17 months old and is not clear with words like your 17 month old. Should I be concern?
My baby doesn’t do any of this but it’s because I need to practice so I have been watching videos so now it’s time for me to practice all these things every day
Me to
I am glad I am not the only 1
Same! Little advanced I feel
My daughter says many words, but she still doesn’t say yes. Not sure what she has against yes but she sure loves saying no lol.
Lol, my daughter whispers yes but yells no. You really have to listen hard but she give you a "yup"
My 17 month old only says mama dada papa and ah for yeah and once in a blue moon he will say his own name
"Bro Bro?" Isn't that baby talk for Brother?
Wow you've done such a good job!

Mines too! I think it has to do with lack of social interaction with other kids for me. At least this little one has a brother!
Don’t feel bad mine doesn’t either, almost 17 months. I have to stop watching these kind of videos because every baby is different with their development. :)

She is super smart
Hi, where did you get your daughters bed? I like the steps to the mattress.
Great! Thank you so much 🥰
Thank you!!+

How would you recommend disciplining a 17 month old?
They don't know any better at that age. They still see things as objects
Great work! I love your milestone videos
Thank u for relieving my nerves
My baby does all thsi
She is 17 months old
these kind videos just stress parents. no reason to exist.

Could not agree more! Totally bullshit!
