I know it shows an old man missing his wife terribly and it is completely different in my situation. I lost my best friend almost 3 years ago. He was my brother and my rock. Every time I hear this song I break down. We both had that connection as kids as well as young adults. We were both adopted as babies and just had that in common. Every day I have to smile remembering our happiest times. 😌 I miss him so much!

Have to put this out there, ... working 2 jobs at the time, trying to see my 2nd wife, which I had not in a couple of weeks, stopped at a stoplight I fell a sleep, woke up in the middle of the intersection freaked-out, I had done something like this before with my 1st wife, playing music in another town, and when I played this song, she didn't get it ? Still going to work, so sleepy , I hurt myself lifting something, ( I don't remember a lot ) I needed to go to the hospital, which didn't happen for a couple of days. I woke up in the hospital with a torn rotator shoulder injury, and some sort of back injury I still deal with today. I said some people are made to work, some are to bring music to the people who work so hard to make ends meet. I quit working altogether, and stayed with music. She never did get it ? All I know is music can get you through Anything !!!
A lot of people trash on her when they haven’t even heard her post sk8ter boi music. Sure it’s not what you’re used to but it could also go from punk to mellow rock ballads like this one once the pen touches the paper. She is such an inspiring musician!!
