    Just listened through all this.
    Vince Russo seems really fun to talk to. He really knows the business and he's actually pretty cool.

    9:52 he's certainly right about that. I was allowed one ppv a year as a kid and it was the month of my birthday which was February. I don't remember them being 50 bucks though, I think they were $30.

    Bossman was actually suppose to hit Stone Cold with a chair and it was Brisco who ended up hitting him. #WhenWrestlingWasGood

    little after 3 minutes russo says why would he need an nda if its consensual? well maybe he doesnt want his wife to know or even the public for that matter who r going after him now so that would make sense, also a good family image has allways been a big priority for the mcmahons even for lindas political career.

    • @cjmassey3206
      @cjmassey3206 2 года назад +2

      doesnt mean it was unconsensual is all im saying, to act like thats the facts was a wide reach, but its also likely too be true honastly lol, but he didnt say likely, he said it as if the only reason vince would have the nda is because it was obviously nonconsensual and thats just not fact at this moment. if he stated my opinion is this or i believe this but have no real clue i get it but hes reaching, the question here isnt even about conscent its about did he use shareholder money at the time of payouts.

      Big time celebs will have you sign an NDA for anything. I had to sign some being an unpaid internet at a recording studio, not anyone important at all lol. That’s just how it is.

    Russo just made up that Bossman story lol. Numerous people have said that when he missed his cue, he was in the locker room talking to Undertaker. "He was standing right next to me, bro!" - sure he was lol.

      Why couldn't Russo have been backstage with both of them? Russo was the head writer, so it makes sense that he would have been around the talent that still had spots to perform. Also, the biggest mistake in Russo's story was the match itself. Bossman was supposed to interfere in the Austin/Mankind match and hit Austin with a chair, not a briefcase. Brisco ended up hitting Austin with the weakest chair shot ever. This stuff happened almost 25 years ago, so I can forgive Russo for not remembering every little detail. There's no way I could remember little details of events from 10 years ago, much less 25.

    When it comes to writing a show with a coherent storyline this has to be Russo's magnus opus!
    But there is one thing that just does not make sense to me:
    Austin got fired for his actions at Judgment Day 1998. Shane McMahon got Austin back and gave him a contract for a guaranteed title shot for RAW after the Survivor Series 1998. But Shane turned on Austin in his match against Mankind. But why did Shane bring back Austin? Only to screw him? I mean Austin was fired! That just made no sense to me!

    No offense to Savio Vega, but I think Bret Hart was more important in making Austin than Savio (in response to Russo at about 46:00).

      Bret hart was a result of the vega feud Wasn’t he?
      Basically savio vega was the stepping stone for the next level

    Disagree wrestling should have an idea where it's gonna go or get to sure injuries happen and you might have to change things up but for storylines you should have some ideas where it's gonna go

    • @kevinlee9929
      @kevinlee9929 2 года назад

      Most of wrestling's best ideas come about when they just go with something and not try to really map it out

    • @MikeD974
      @MikeD974 2 года назад

      @@kevinlee9929 disagree look at last year when Vince kept changing plans at the last minute people were complaining how bad wwe was plus look at the mega power storyline thar went for over a year and was great how they did that . If you just make up ideas on the fly without a real plan then it comes off with no real story and i perfer a storyline planned out most of what is missing today is a well planned out storyline

    • @sedricmartin7917
      @sedricmartin7917 2 года назад

      @@MikeD974 You mentioned Vince McMahon changing things at the last minute, the difference between Vince McMahon and a Vince Russo is that Russo is a writer and McMahon is a WWE promoter. They are not the same. When you are a professional writer who is gifted to see storylines through to where they organically map themselves out, its not at all impossible to go that route. Vince McMahon can’t do that. That’s why we see the product we see now on a weekly basis.

      @@MikeD974 Austin vs. McMahon and the nWo vs. Sting/WCW are often regarded as the 2 top storylines in wrestling history. Neither 1 of those feuds were mapped out in advance. They started it and then let it flowed. Bischoff had no idea when he started that nWo storyline. That he would have Sting turn "Crow", stop dealing with WCW, and then win the belt at Starracde 97.

    • @MikeD974
      @MikeD974 2 года назад

      @@kevinlee9929 lol yeah ok Bishoff has said many times they knew they were gonna do hogan vs sting and let it build for over a year they didn't even have sting wrestle for a year it was so easy to see where it was gonna go they has sting Interfere almost weekly and fend off the nwo or help others against them. The wwe use to plan out months in advance same with WCW were a story was going now adays they do things on a that day basis and even scrap matches that were advertised and it pisses people off . The ppvs are usually good but you could skip raw or smackdown for a month and you wouldn't miss anything in the past you would miss major plot points in a feud and it was more must see tv .
