So many people miss the point of Batman's no kill rule it's supposed to be questioned all the time, he probably should be killing criminals that would be the easy way to fix Gotham but he doesn't want to do that because it would mean putting himself in the same shoes as the man that killed his parents, he would have to kill people who had families too no matter how bad they are. He doesn't want to go in to the darkness of taking lives if he doesn't have to because it's what caused the darkness that created Batman in the firstplace he wants to believe in a different way to fix things and in this scene the League of Shadows go directly against those hopes and tell him no, you must kill to fix Gotham, so do it now. For a simple movie adaptation, this game did LOTS of things right. First, it had the ENTIRE cast voicing it, and they actually gave some pretty good performances. Second, MAD graphics (for the time). It won't pass for PS4 any day of the week....but it looked legitimately nice. Third, it did a decent job of adapting the movie's plot. You still need have watched it, mind you....otherwise the clips might be rather confusing, but it still used the movie very well and features original narration to tie it all together. Fourth, it had interesting (if flawed and formulaic) gameplay, and was, at the very least, compelling to play from start to finish. It did hold your hand too much and didn't let you get creative with stealth or scare tactics, but It featured some clever and pretty original ideas. Sixth, it used the Batmobile actually fairly well! Some hated them, but the Tumbler levels were a nice change of pace, and they were based on Burnout of all games, which made them feel very exciting. In general, it was a well-done, entertaining game, which showed signs of tremendous potential but for whatever reason just wasn't allowed to go beyond a simple action game with some other genres' elements peppered in. To its credit, it was perhaps one of the best Batman games out there for quite a while, a pretty decent licensed game in and of itself, and even if it couldn't really make full use of all of its mechanics....at least it managed to inspire a little game down the road that DID.
Why would you even say it won't pass for ps4 anyday? Like no fucking shit this console came before the ps3 so it's quite obvious the graphics won't compare. What next? Water is wet?
Graphics really looked great. It still looks polished and that's important. There are many current gen games that have better overall graphics than these old games but they look unpolished and somewhat off. Anyway, personally I liked the combat system of this game more than Arkham games because you could mix kicking and punching in this game and that way combat didn't felt repetitive. On arkham games, I have to play with stealth most of the time cause combat is basically just "lmb lmb lmb lmb dodge" repeat until your enemy dies.

back then i love how they use to make games after the movies came out. i miss those days!
Same here. Loved the LOTR and Harry Potter, Spider-Man, James Bond games etc, etc.
Great game, one of the few good film-based games. The fear mechanic was dope.
I got this game back when it came out and I loved it, rocksteady clearly took elements from this game and put it into Arkham everyone who played this first noticed right away. I was so disappointed when they cancelled that open world Dark Knight game but we got Arkham Asylum a year later so I can't complain
Ohh que nostalgia, uno de los primeros juegos que tuve de la ps2. Bellos recuerdos
Me on RUclips watches one Batman video. RUclips for the rest of time. Watch this video. Always in my recommendations
Hands down the best movie game ever. Rare.

@@danieleanzaldi xmen origins was amazing but really repetitive
RealGamerManz Spider-Man 2 was one of the greatest movie games ever
Lord of the ring the return of the king ps2 🙄
I still love this game this game just makes your imagination go wild I am a true Batman fan
The “EA games” sound was awesome back in the day
This is such an underrated game. I might have to dig this out and give it another play, been a long time.
Game looks decent for a game that came out in 2005
I grew up playing this game. Used to enjoy it a lot. ❤
El primer juego que jugué en la PS2.
Qué tiempos
If the Arkham Series didn't release we#d be talking about Batman Begins being the best batman game. I truly believe that. I will never forget how impressed I was by the graphics and how good his suit looked. Need to replay this gem soon.
Ahh..back the when the characters model breathed as if inhaling all of earths atmosphere lmao😂😂😂
Liam Neeson is such a pro. Doesn't matter if it's Schindler's List or Battleship or a PS2 video game. Neeson always tries to give a professional performance.
I miss how big and prominent the text used to be. So small now
I remember getting so scared as a kid at the start screen 😂😂😂
I played this on GameCube. That would be fresh if they remastered it.
Me too! One of my most played games
I actually enjoyed this game. Nostalgic
Wish they made a sequel to this game which would also be based on the the dark knight.
wow those are actually good graphics when you stop to think that this is running on a ps2. had fun with it when I was a kid.
