Well i have 100 bucks to spend, and i want a MMA style game and i can't chose over UFC and MMA. I have MMA on my ipod and i like that a lot, should i get MMA over UFC 2010?
I can enjoy this game, but the default controls are a handful to use. I practice using them, but I'll stick with the classic controls as my main control function for now.
@bigphilly08 Exactly, they are evenly matched. MMA offers a smoother expierence that looks closer to a real MMA fight. The game has uses the FNR4 physics and graphical engine which do any amazing job. UFC is a deeper game, it's more complex as well, but gives too many options that are either useless or something the fighter you're using would NEVER do. It looks more robotic and doesn't resemble an actual MMA fight as well. Both do a great job, and they are different enough to purchase both.
@MrMafiaDude that would be a good idea combining both but the truth is alot of the fighters in the game were once in the ufc and were really good there like the shamrocks coture diaz hendo ect.
@boogynights just because you can't do 1000 moves doesn't mean that there aren't a lot of moves in the game. It's a very smooth game with punches, kicks, submissions, takedowns, etc. I don't know what moves were overlooked, all I know is that it's way more realistic than the UFC game. And the rules? Those are the rules of MMA, there's not a huge rule book. What else do you need to know? EA did a very good job in my opinion

@11Legendkiller Bad thing about it is THQ made the Pride game which were so awesome it was a let down when i played UFC and they only focused on K-O's.
I have both and I was ufc fanboy but Ea mma feels and plays so much better. It captures the whole mma world perfectly. You can travel to different gyms and gain experience in ji jutsu, boxing, wrestling, kickboxing, Muay Thai, judo , etc. This game is the best mma game ever made but they released very bad demo for it and that messed up with peoples head. This is a must buy.
@TimeSplittersChimp You'll have to play both...I played UFC more so i know the controls very well and they are very in depth, I have all played the demo for MMA and the tutorial doesn't offer much help with the controls but i pretty sure the real game will do a much better job teaching you just rent both and make the call yourself they same very closely matched
well now you won't have to choose,,,UFC undisputed, THQ wasn't selling UFC as well as they hoped so the contract after UFC 3 was given to EA so i doubt EA will come out with another MMA game that isn't UFC, but for the time being UFC has the better more known fighters and this seems to have a more stylistic and maybe even more accurate representation of a MMA fight
@comusian EA MMA, better online connections, better career although less single player modes than undisputed, it has way tighter contrlos and able to create fighters and share them online
Yes and no it's Ea MMA is best representation of MMA in various forms one reason I bought the game. Good decent stand up fighting with some generic moves and specials that should be basic moves for example flying knee what about a driving knee to the body or just a normal knee. Let us have options of moves. Moves that were over looked were More ground attacks like side control knees and attempts at soccer kicks or stomps in most positions free will not only for tko finishes.

The AI in this game is actually very difficult! Medium difficulty can sometimes give me a better challenge than ppl online. I cant see how you complained about the AI being too easy when i in fact think its a little too difficult, unless of course you were playing on easy difficulty then that explains your argument. I have to disagree with how you guys think UFC is the better game. Being a fan of MMA, i think that EA MMA gives you a more realistic feel than Undisputed. But, this is my opinion.
I just defeated Ken Shamrock In Mystic league crazy he was awesome but i won :) perhaps when i finish CM i'll use a shared fighter, and then "go till" FNC releases March 1st. This game is great though, you could prob replay career a thousand times just to pass the time.

@Ssirad666 UFC has plenty of bugs...like one time i was fighting a dude and the next thing i know he put himself in a full nelson....also i hit a dude with a knockout punch and he was still standing like nothing happen...but the cutscene showed him laid out smh
@mark84g5 But then everyone's going to hate Gamespot for giving too low of a score or to high. I know that knowing the score is a good thing but just look at how much hate IGN gets for the points they give. So putting no score at all is almost the best way to get minimal hate for the review. Thats what i think anyways.

@Jordan1697 What's fun in the repetitive of this game? All you do is fight with different characters and there is no depth. If you are a tru MMA fan, then get this. Fallout is very deep and has a lot in it but it gets kinda boring. Medal of Honor is kinda like Battlefield Bad Company 2 but better and deeper multiplayer. So if you like MMA, get this, if you like RPG's, get fallout, if you like wars and shooters and adventure games, get MoH.

personaly i don't like ufc undisputed 2010 as much as everyone else, all it does is get you in a ground clinch that you can't get out of and the first two dificlty settings are to esey, and the other two are to hard, so ea mma will proply do a better job
@TimeSplittersChimp EA MMA is a much better game. Definitely EA MMA. If you watch UFC exclusively though, you're better to get the UFC game because you won't know any fighters in the EA game bar a few.

well the the different rules is why I bought the game unique role in MMA than just strictly casino ufc game this game. The game is not so different feels very limited in the combat fight engine lack of unique fighting style on the fighters themselves and the caf is terrible.7/10 ok
UFC Undisputed is not the better fighter. I don't know why the guy said that. If he watched the real sport on tv, UFC Undisputed is very very far from the real thing and MMA is much closer
I have all the ufcs. And i have to say i hate the robotic movement in ufc and the lack of animations. Its the same animation for both striking and grappling. Im extremly excited for ea ufc. This game is way better than ufc 3 and is way cheaper. I should also say i hate the knockouts in ufc 3. Im knocking ojt the guy not headshoting him with a 50 cal. And still beating the shit out of his corpse

I like this one better than UFC. It's more smooth. The controls can be tricky.

first time i played ea mma it sucked but after about 30 min with the game it was awesome and in my mind the best mma video game ever made

Ufc undisputed is a button masher. It is like rock em sock em robots. Ea sports MMA actually looks like a real fight
