  • The problem with trusting your intuition, Daniel Kahneman says, is that we still need conditions under which we learn to use our intuition wisely. The ingredients? Understanding the immediate feedback around you, and seeking out experts who can guide you.
    Author of New York Times bestseller Thinking, Fast and Slow, Daniel Kahneman is an Israeli-American psychologist notable for his work on the psychology of judgment and decision-making, as well as behavioral economics, for which he was awarded the 2002 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences (shared with Vernon L. Smith).

    0:44 nxd4 is an illegal chess move, you can't do that in chess

    Sometimes it is not so easy to identify the right expert. One solution is to consult different disciplines related to the subject in question and then find a way to compare and evaluate the results of the received consultations.

    It's different being an expert in some field of mathematics and being able to tell if it's safe to cross the street. The latter any fool can do, but with the former, it takes a special type of mind that can spool all of the rules and variables.

      anyone can be an expert of mathematics if they do it as many times as they have crossed a street.

    What has just happened on the chess board?

      First, the kings and queens are switched...
      1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bc4 d6 4. Nc3 Bb4.... then it should have gone 5. d4 exd4 6. Ne5 Bxd1 7. Bxf7+ Ke7 8. Nd5++
      The person who designed the chess sequence wasn't an expert ... or a novice ... and probably never played chess.
