My heart uncontrollably cries because of the injustice. There is something so very wrong with the people in control of OUR country.
From my side, your feeling of injustice is welcome. I am completely agreed with you. Every meditation and consideration should be started with this: included any authorities, no one has the right to kill a human* - which means that everyone has the right to live, no matter what and how they do. So, death penalty is one of the basest, hypocrite, coward and most shameful crimes that could be committed against defenseless people - again: no matter what they have or have not done.
*I can accept only a very few exceptions (eg. the cases of unavoidable self defense, or for purpose of protecting those human lives in obvious and direct danger, basically but not exclusively by the police).
@@novaklaszlo56-There's TONS & TONS of people on death row that ABSOLUTELY DESERVE TO DIE!! Rocky isn't one of them.. I'm a forensic psychologist & I go from prison to prison & deal with the worst of the worst kind of offenders.. Rapists, child molesters, murders, serial killers ect.. & let me tell ya, there's A TON of monsters that don't deserve the oxygen they breath, the space they take up nor the $ that tax payers have to spend on them.
@@annalisegiovanni7032 Most of people "think" (feel) similar about that, but for me, it is a bit strange opinion from a psychologist, especially from a sort who is supposed to give a helping hand to those sentenced to be "oficially" killed, because - somehow, somewhere, in some milieu... - they have become that monsters who, as you explained, don't deserve the air and the place... Alright, I understand that, but for me, that is beyond an untouchable ideological, mental and ethic border which I never want to step over. That is why I strongly hope, my hate against anyone never will grow as much so I can seriously play with the thought of killing them. Also, if comes to my mind, what help I can get from an expert who, while looking at me, sees not a struggling human creature but a hateful and hopeless monster...; luckily, for decades, in my country (EU, Hungary) there is no death penalty though. Ok, that is how I think about that stuff, and I don't want to change my point of view for the rest of my life - sorry, doc, for being me that hopeless. :) Good luck - to your monster patients, too. ;)
Did I hear correctly? The jury was hung (could not render a unanimous verdict) but the judge ruled him guilty and sentenced him to death? If so, is that even constitutional?

I'm too intellectual disability, I was too sentenced without any evidence to supported the charge.
The system isn't about convicting the the right person. Its more pen it on a easy target. I too was changed and sentences with no evidence that even supported the change, all of the police lab test come back negative for meth and they didn't not find any supporting meth making stuff to make it with. but I was sentenced for making meth. Even there undercover suvance team watching me wrote there report saying we don't see him involved in any drug active around his home or see him involved in any drug active when hes away from his home and stated we don't see any reason to continue. My public defender didn't try to defend me. All the public defenders were over loaded in cases, When the math is done. public defenders do not have enough work hours for all there caseload's and go with a no-contest pleas given by the court system. later years a was denied food stamps due to my charge, I took it to a hearing. the hearing judge look at my convection file saying how can you get a conviction when there is no supporting evidence an granted me food stamps. Before for I could be a clint of far northern regional center, they had to have a privet lawyer review my case, Again the layer found no evidence that supported the change. I was accepted. My convection trail judge stated. whats going on here, he hasn't even gotten a traffic ticket and has no criminal history. but still senticents me to over 3 years in jail not prison an 3 years of probation. after completing. They said I was the only one that ever completed this long of a probation tearn and never gotten violated and did not even came even close to getting one and all the surprise drug testing was negative. 20 plus years later, I haven't gotten a traffic ticket an I haven't been in trouble with the law !
I'm so unbelievably sorry!! You didn't deserve that. Even the people that ARE dealing drugs end up with HUGE SENTENCES while Pedos & rapists end up with slaps on the wrists.

Juan Munoz I don’t know this person either but their bottom line is that our system is completely messed up and it is. They could be telling the truth or they could be lying but their bottom line is correct. If you’ve never had to deal with the system in one capacity or another, you wouldn’t know. Listen to the stories of people who have- people convicted, lawyers, judges, and everyone in between. It’s broken.

Just saying that he’s intellectually disabled isn’t a valid argument because its such a broad term. Not saying that he isn’t innocent. But also going by your logic, literally everybody in prison should be let off because they have a mental disability. They are all mentally unstable, thats why they are in prison.

Ok but like the problem here is that hes innocent. If an intellectually disabled person was a serial killer, i would not hesitate to lock them up, but rocky myers is innocent, so whether he was disabled or not is irrelevant.
I %1000 believe this man is not guilty. The fact that the dirty cops and other judicial officials who put this innocent man where he is could have possibly done this to other people throughout their careers is equally disturbing.

no and it absolutely infuriates me no matter how much I dig on this case there is nothing stating that he has died or that he has been on death row on February 13 it does not state what year his execution is. it is all very swept under the rug and very very suspicious. it’s like everything regarding this man just fucking paused. and when you look him up he’s talked about in the present tense. it’s passed February 13th now and it has not been said weather or not he’s alive and released or passed.

That Juror is an idiot! She convicted him of murder, yet says she didnt believe he killed anyone!? She can't blame the Judge for her conviction that Judge overturned to a harsher sentence. Had that Woman not convicted someone that she believed to be innocent, then this Man wouldn't be facing the death penalty.

I signed the online petition for Rocky. I believe he is innocent. He was falsely convicted on the hearsay of two criminals. Some juries think that if the police charge someone and put him in court, that person must be guilty. This is not true, because sometimes an innocent person is charged and should be acquitted. Juries, please do better. Do not let prejudice blind you. Rocky Myers should have been found not guilty.
