Your videos on Roma are the finest, most beautiful videos! Especially because of the exquisite and perfectly matched music to each one of them and the awesome detail to the correct spelling of the Italian and Latin words to the monuments. I watched all 7 of them and I felt like I was watching a Hollywood film on Roma. You filmed it so beautifully with a steady hand, no swinging of the camera where one can't rest one's eyes on the beauty you were filming - you let us SEE Roma! And feel Roma (they instantly took me back to it)! I've been there many times and I just love your videos above all others. There's only one word to describe your videos on Roma - Masterful! Thanks!
Thanks a lot for all your kind comments, it's very encouraging to know that these videos are appreciated! Indeed, I have put an exceptional (meaning: unnatural) effort in the choice of music, and matching the images to the pace and phases of the music in painstaking detail in order to convey the right feeling I intended. And true also, as you have noticed, keeping a steady hand while shooting requires tremendous concentration, which isn't always easy when travelling. It's been a while since we last uploaded any videos (it's the 2 of us shooting and/or editing our travel videos), because of how much work this requires. So your kind words are an encouragement to get back to work and to the editing board (but it will be months before anything comes out!)
You are so welcome! Excellent work should always be acknowledged! Such as yours! God is in the detail! Most people are tourist instead of being travelers, such as yourself who appreciates the details to everything. That is the point of travelling - to take in, regardless of camera, all the beauty, history and details to what you see so that when you get older, the images are vivid in your memory and they bring back the joy you felt when you saw what you saw. This is my experience - I remember every detail of my many visits to bella Roma. Thank you for your beautiful work, and yes, keep doing them when you can. Ciao!
Could you please list the name of the music on this video? So beautiful! Especially in the beginning. However, it made me sad because it reminded me of how beautiful Roma is, how much I miss it and will probably never see it again. Thanks.
Hi, this is the soundtrack by Nicola Piovani of the film "Caro Diario" (by Nanni Moretti). I wanted some light music of an Italian film to conclude these videos, in a peaceful way as Villa Borghese can be, and Caro Diario just popped into my mind. Sorry it made you sad, however indeed melancholy was the intended purpose to end the videos and close an outstanding trip to Rome!
Thank you so much for replying to all my comments, especially this one because I so love the music, especially from the beginning of the video. Yes, it made me sad because I believe I will never see bella Roma again. You are right to convey melancholy because look at what you were leaving behind! I still feel melancholy when I think of Roma, as well as other cities of Italia I visited, but I cherish every single moment and still do after many years since I last visited. Thanks for all your videos!
La città eterna....una meraviglia! Pochissime città possono confrontarsi con roma!
