A lot of solid advice in this video. People don't understand how much work it actually takes to build a business! I've been working my business and for another company not even related to glass for the past 2 years. This spring I have finally been able to solely focus on glass. I do have to add though, get accounts they are a huge part of growing your business, when things slow down the accounts are what keeps things running.

I believe you need to have a business plan before you open. You are correct, most techs don’t understand what they are getting into. Most techs are not wired to be owners, great techs, not owners.

I operate in a 6 county area with about 200,000 population and 14 glass shops. It's been 5 years and I'm about to be done and move on with the industry. It's a fight to the bottom here. This year my business is down 70+%. I almost purchased a well established and profitable company but turns out the owner was an addict and was jerking me and the broker around. I've been doing this since 1999 helping my Dad at his shop when I was 13. Dad is now "retired" and is also probably one of the most notorious and hated man in the auto glass industry 😂
I have a question I want to get into the Adas recalibration, I am a mobile windshield service out of the Oklahoma panhandle and about to buy my first recalibration kit. What would you prefer the launch or the Autel

Hey friends, how are you? I thought your video was excellent. Let me tell you, I'm a foreigner. I've been working in auto glass for 8 years and I've been building my company for 2 years. Now I've ordered the advertisement to be placed in my truck. I know a lot about the job and I'm already in order. windows very good.. but I still can't figure out how to do the procedure to collect from the insurance and that stops me.. they also offered me an account with a large car rental company.. but they pay every 30 or 45 days… I don't know how much Go ahead without charging because they ask for a lot of glass
