Thank You! Do you know if a CBB61 refrigerator capacitor rated at -40/85/21 but 250V will work for a few days? My original was 350V but no time to ship one before the storm arrives.
Those numbers indicate temperature limits of the capacitor. You need to look for microfarad number ...uF . It very important to get as close as you can to the original uF number. It should be no more than 2 or 3 uF difference otherwise the voltage output will be different and can cause damage
@@paulywooly Thank you for the quick response! I'm matching the 12 UF but the CBB61 refrigerator cap was only rated at 250V not 350V and the package was a little smaller. Found one on Amazon that is exact same with 1 day prime shipping offer, so I'm all set for now. The metalized poly CBB61 is rated at 450V so I bought a couple of them on Ebay for later. These see non stop service near the engine for several days after hurricanes so the 158F degree limit is probably the issue.
You will need a capacitor tester to test it. Another problem can be the diodes on the armature have popped. ruclips.net/video/znZcRPt1fyA/видео.htmlsi=yfL3KRIf1fzCTsuC
Thanks, think you've just fixed my problem... 👍
Thank You!

Thank you sir!
Thanks for the video
How can i test if its working? Could be another problem from the generetor no?
