They left them too long and blocking the roads like they ain't got no sense. You can't just leave your car in the middle of the road! Come on people we are adults, can't be mad at nobody but yourself. Responsibility is part of being a grown adult.

When this happened in shelby county during snowmagedden police actually showed up at my house and took me to my car when it was safe to do so. I was so grateful, because they could've towed all those cars but they did the honorable thing. I can say that the tow truck companies were so lucky. They were told that any cars they towed during that time would have to return those vehicles free of charge. They called predatory of the tow truck companies to take advantage of an emergency situation.

What did they think would happen? First, you ignore the snow warning, and then you left the car on the street. The streets can not be blocked. But $600 for a tow is ridiculous unless the car was in a ditch. Plus, there is a daily fee added, and at some point, the car will be auctioned off if they take too long.

If you're driving in metro Atlanta while it's icy and snowing, and you're being told to stay home, then do you really have a complaint?🙄
I think companies forcing their employees to come into work during times like this should be fined. (Hospitals, first responders, power, etc. excluded, but they usually have plans in place anyway.) I remember my friend worked for Ackerman Security in 2011, and they were trying to get them to run appointments when they couldn't even make it out of their parking lot due to the ice. Those demanding managers, however, were safe and warm in their big houses.

No the cops don't get a kickback. The cops call the police dispatch on the radio and ask for next available tow. The dispatcher has a list of available towing companies that their department uses, they rotate the work between the towing companies.

If you don’t have the proper vehicle to be out in bad weather, stay home! Learn different ways around and invest in fowl weather equipment. Be better prepared next time if you truly need to be out.

They should have left the car at home and taken the subway or walked. If they chose to live too far out in the burbs to have other options besides driving, then they should have just stayed home. Choices have consequences. If you choose to live a car dependent lifestyle, you have to pay for it.
