This is good. I also have a rescore on my channel with a more darker take regarding the score as for me, the scene gives off a biiiig Batman v Superman vibe.
This would've been such a good intro to the movie. Showing how optimus dealt with a decepticon and then show his next fight against scourge, but at the same time wouldve lessened the time we had with the maximals which was already criminally sparse. I really liked this movie but i have this nagging feeling that it was rushed a lot, but I really hope they use this design in a future movie
I agree but hey this frees him up to be in other movies maybe even be a decepticon to jump to megatrons side when he makes his live action debut in the reboot but so far this is a really STRONG start to the trilogy
I don’t think it was rushed this was cut out because test audiences felt the scene was too violent which it isn’t…but that’s the reason

@@jaketylenol they shouldn’t have listened to them tbh. The Bayverse had worse scenes compared to this and it’s not even bad.
i agree that it shouldve been included, but the intro with the maximals is better, however there is a perfect part where it can be included, right when elena is doing tests on the transwarp key cut to optimus, play this whole scene and when transit dies instead of the music building up it goes completely silent, then cut back to elena and the key. after a few seconds the beacon goes up in the sky and the "calling all autobots" scene goes as normally. cut if you want the transit being dumped in the lake, but make prime at least hide the body only at the end when gi joe is introduced we see that they were collecting the bodies of the decepticons optimus has been hunting. personally i wouldve loved to see the autobots do some cleanup of the scene before the beacon goes up in the sky, but oh well
