hi, do you need to change the size of the triangle if you're doing larger flowers? for instance on yours it was 6cm from the mid point, does that need to be adjusted for larger circles? thank you, its a beautiful idea!
Diameter 15 cm divided by 2.5 gives the 6 cm. Use this for any size circle.

I love to make stuff like this. If you make a lot a simple trick I use is.. get a thumbtack..the flat ones..find center of circle..place fabric under the needle where you want to sew..put tape thru the point of thumbtack with the tape going toward the head..place the tack thru the center of fabric and then tape to machine. Your fabric will pivot on the tack and you'll have no stopping all the way around. I sew all the way around..find an area that will be Folded over. clip that and then turn. Saves so much time this way. I use a chop stick and run it around the inside after turning and the seams flatten out very well. I hope you don't mind my suggestions because I've been sewing many years. You can use a smaller seam and not have to trim too.

I''m having a problem getting the center to lay flat. It seems to bunch up so the center of the placemat is raised. I'm sewing all the way to the center and that seems to give me the bump. But if I don't, the hole in the center is gaping. any suggestions?
