As Someone who leads a frugal life and have done for years it was great to be reminded that the small things we do on a regular basis all go towards keeping money in our. It is very easy to spend small amounts and tell ourselves it’s only a few pounds but all those small only a couple of points or even only a few pennies add up over a year.

I hear this in every video and always wondered what it was. I thought it was a desk fan with a creak 🙈

I saw a good tip the other day. Having a no shopping week once a month, using up all your leftovers. I thought that was a great idea, I'm going to give it a try x

I have to dine out tonight (group dinner meeting,) so I have already looked at the menu and picked what I will order. Saves me money by knowing ahead what I will eat.

Bought some second hand clothes on ebay recently and saved by doing the basket trick where you leave it in your basket for a few days and you then get a seller offer, sometimes only 50p off but it all adds up

Regular saver account. Cant touch it for a year which means i actually save. Before i could afford the minimum £25 per month, i eould save £5 because it was better than nothing and got me in the habit of saving.

@@BixieASMR if it is indeed a cat snoring, then for me it should be an essential part of Nics videos going forward-it would be too cute!

I live across the road from a retail park, mainly because it was the most affordable place to rent. That makes takeaways etc annoyingly convenient, as you have to walk past places like Costa Coffee to get anywhere. I agree that having such things all the time makes them no longer a treat. I find I don't enjoy them precisely because they're always there. As far as savings goes, I have various moneyboxes for cash, then 2 or 3 savings accounts, 1 of which is locked for a specific period of time.

My huge tip that has served me well is
    LIVE BELOW YOUR MEANS !
Any excess money is saved and you now have a buffer for wants and emergencies .
You don't need to become rich if you make this a habit.
