Anytime (which is at least once a year) I feel down I come back to this song- it relates to both positive & negative emotions idk if anyone relates or if it's just me but It always puts a smile on my face- I both feel alone & comfort at the same time, it's one of the only covers of any song I've ever listened to that has ever brought peace to my soul. I'm not joking when it comes to this- it's really one of the only things that actually makes me think there is more to life... I picture myself in a big city with lights and a crowd, like nothing else matters- ik it sounds dark...but it is literally the thing I can relate most to- this empty void that can be filled but only by this song & this version lol - I can't explain it, they knew what they were doing & it is perfection

Loved these guys when they were were Scattered Trees, but now, they're on a whole new level. And this is by far the best sounding live studio version. I've been searching for a damn year for this!! Thank you thewildhoneypie!!
It looks and sounds as though he's using two mics, one is probably set at a slightly higher pitch than his actual voice, and the other slightly lower. One also seems to be set on a very, very subtle delay as well. There may be other effects involved, but those are the basic ingredients that seem to be giving it that slight "otherworldly" feeling to it.
