I saw online that balanced or non-balanced can do 600 ohm? Is this true? Am excited if this is true because my Senheisers 650HD have 300 ohm so this means they should sound perfect on these.
>70mW @ 600Ω only (that too you need a balanced cable to purchase to drive this power) This power is very low .. you need an another amp to stack this dac again
Depends on the sample rate! FLAC falls under the category of PCM, yes. For more info on LED colours, check our LED Calculator page - the ZEN DAC 3 will be on there today! ifi-audio.com/home-2/led-calculator/
I have ZEN DAC 3 second day and cannot figure out, how i set my studio monitors (RCA) and headphones (6.3mm), when plugged both into DAC, because if RCA is plugged, then headphones are silenced and works only if RCA is unplugged. How i can manage both simultaneously? I dont want unplug RCA eveytime, when i want listening from headphones. Its possible from software someway?
Hi there! Just a quick tip: both the headphone and line outputs are always on. To switch between them, you can either unplug the RCA or headphone jacks, or add a volume control device between the RCA outputs and your speakers. This way, you can easily switch between the two. Let us know if you have any questions!
How does that work with more demanding headphones? Looks like an £80 premium to buy a DC supply to get this up to the point it can drive those? That's a big jump in price...
@@Snufkinstravels Using an external power supply does not increase the output of the amplifier, it just makes the noise within the unit quieter. Using a USB-C connection from a phone or laptop means there is a direct connection between the DAC 3's circuit and your source device; which can add unwanted noise and amplify it. Our power supplies use active filtering to ensure as little noise is transferred from the mains to the DAC!
@@Snufkinstravels It will be an improvement, yes. Whether you need it is subjective - if you're happy with the quality of the ZEN DAC 3 without it, then you're happy with the quality. Any audio product's sound quality can be affected for the better with a low-noise power supply! The lower noise in the system, the better.
@@iFiaudiochannel a Zen Stream v2 is long overdue too - I'd like to see better wifi stability, and a USB-C output. And a dedicated app for both setup and streaming.

Finally made a power button, gr! 🎉👍🎂
and they fixed uneven potentiometer for another analog
Type c thank god!!❤ Upgrading only for that option
ZEN DAC 3 has finally joined the party! 👀🤣

Great product !
I just didn't understand if there is a real upgrade from the Zen Dac V2. It seems to be almost the same...
I would like to see optical output at the back too
Noob question, flac files are played in what color? Is that pcm?

I want to buy one but says sold out or pre order! When you guys going to sell more? I need one lol
It's sold out everywhere :( when will it be available in Ireland?
its not yet released bro
@@TearfulNight it is bro...
Looks good. A couple of questions. Dies it work ok with abdroid devices,? Does it come with a power supply in the box?
It works perfectly with Android devices. No power supply is included in the box, just a USB-C which should get you up and running!

So, to be clear. To get maximum quality from this product... I still need to buy an £80 upgrade?

Can we expect Zen Can soon ?? with similar looks and knob design like Zen Dac V3 ?
Which one is better? Regular zen dac or zen can?
Ask enough and you shall receive! 😉🎶
What is the size of the DC jack, 5.5x2.1 mm?
Exactly that!
Wooow what a great new.
Glad you like it! 😁
Can i play music using the usb type C from android fone?
Yes! The ZEN DAC 3 draws power from the source device though, so I would advise to use a separate 5V PSU (with a DC barrel connection type) 😃
How would you connect the Zen Stream to this - with a USB-A to USB-C cable?
Correct! 🎶
this is 3rd zen dac
y no zen can's?
If enough people ask for it, it could happen - never say never!
What would you like to see from a new generation ZEN CAN?

The sad thing is, if you have more devices plugged in, one can't select the output source still. A bit unfortunate oversight.
This is zen dac 3 still work with ps5
It does!
