This looks really nice.
I think you should try doing with a fluid simulation since the mantaflow fluid simulator came out for blender 2.82

Reminds me of those water hour glass things where you flip around and the liquid flows from opposite sides. Pretty neat!

Do you have any tips on how to make the particles not explode? Whenever I try to make a particle fluid simulation all of them just go everywhere. I tried to fix it but it always seems to glitch out and break.
