We recorded this video well before we even thought about starting our RUclips channel. But I just knew I wanted to share this because for us, as balloon professionals, it was pretty stressful not knowing how to make this work and not being able to test anywhere!
We've updated our balloon inflator to an Air Force 4 but we still use the vacuum for ceiling jobs because of how efficient it is.
This is a great method only for balloons in a tent, I wouldn't use duct tape on a regular indoor ceiling as it might damage the drywall /paint or anywhere else where the tape is visible.

I just found you today and binging your videos… sure enough, I do have a job in December where we need to hang 100+ 3’ from a 50’ x 130’ tent. We will be the first to set up and I’ve made arrangements and rented a small, electric lift. But… it just never occurred to me to just tape the balloons! Thank you for this timely advice!

this was so helpful! I'm doing my first ceiling install and the ceiling is wood. I saw you mentioned briefly you also did one and it took a while. Any tips for that? what did you guys use to hang the balloons. I'm super nervous yet excited as well.
Glad we could help! We used 3M clear command hooks and 10' and 8' ladders, which is why it took a while. I'm sure you'll do just fine 😉

Love the video and helpful tips! The cost $65 was per balloon? And how do you calculate how many balloons you will need so you can quote the client accordingly?
Yes, that's $65/balloon. Normally, once you give the client the price per balloon, they let you know how many they'd like and
1. you can spread those out evenly in a way that'll fill the space or
2. recommend to install more (or less) depending on the space or look that you'd like to achieve

Hi. You mentioned the wooden ceiling. How did you attach the balloons to the wooden ceiling?

We used command hooks on the wooden ceiling. We rarely do site visits, but for this install we did to make sure that what we were going to use was not going to damage the ceiling. This was varnished wood so we need to make sure that 1. the surface was smooth enough for the hooks to stick and 2. that they were not going to damage the finish once we pulled the hooks off.

I think that would be tricky as you'd only have the beams to support them from. If it can be done, that would look amazing!!

What is the tape Name please?
You can use white duct tape made by Gorilla Tape, 3M or a brand called Duck Tape. Hope this helps! 😉
