The Royal yacht has never been my go to tobacco. But with that said, I do find myself enjoying this blend when I do smoke it. I have two very old tins made by Murray’s & Sons. Totally agree here. I have a tin I got a couple of years ago, only smoked 3 or 4 bowls. Trying it again now and just find it tastes a little like chemicals and just generally artificial. There's so many other blends I'd rather smoke so I'm sending it to a buddy who likes it

Its an all virginia according to description however this blend have some strength to it that make me think perique as well. Its known to be love or hate tobacco due to the casing but like you i cannot detect it either. I consider this a strong virginia and i like it for what it is. Be safe out there my friend. Al janabi
al janabi I agree it’s weird I pick up some Perique notes even though none is suppose to be present . I have noticed if I sip it real slow it does taste a little better to me
I found it a nice smoke but its about the only Dunhill I haven't cellared. Didn't hold my interest. I smoke a lot of Burleys so didn't notice a nic hit from it like I was hoping.

My favorite Virginia blend. Definitely in my top three all time favorite tobaccos
Naptown Pipes and Sticks Yes I do like it but definitely I need to smoke it slow
Upon letting it sit longer and smoking really slow I would consider bumping score up to 6.5 but that would be about best for me

it's love or hate blade, for me, at first i didn't like it, after one year i smoke it again and liked it and bought some tins, now, i'm so-so :D
