wonder how many cycles it would take for them to grow? this might be a feature but we havent found it yet im guessing like 500 cycles to grow with plenty of food
@@Nadreix i mean depends on how long a cycle lasts, if it's several days to a week, i'd reckon that every 4-7 cycles would be a month ingame, if slugcats age around the same rate as cats then perhaps in 20 or 50 cycles there should be some noticeable growth.
Slugpups personality affect their favourite foods. For example, energy slugpups like jellyfish but hate fruit but nervous slugpups like fruit and hate jellyfish.
There's a very small number of them that can spawn, total, in a campaign. I think the base amount is *two.* I would rec installing the slugpup in any campaign mod, it'll let you increase how many there are. I set mine to 5 and went half of spearmasters campaign till I found one. Maybe go with 8 or so.

SPOILERS!! They spawn randomly on survivor, hunter and gourmand once you have completed the gourmand food quest or enabled them on remix mode. The highest spawn rates are in pipeyard, subterranean and shaded citadel, but I recommend searching Industrial. They spawn in shelters but will often leave and start to roam around. Once found, you can gain their trust with food, and/ or pick them up and sleep in a shelter with them. After that they will be dependent and trusting towards you as their parental figure.

Indeed slugpups are picky eaters! If they close their eyes after eating food, they dislike the food. If they keep their eyes open and jump around a bit, they like it! They will always like batflies.

They do learn from the player slugcat by trying to mimic things they do....

Man Slugpups need some tweeking in their movement. Seeing them get stuck at the cross section of the pole is frustrating.
it happens to all creatures' pathfinding, lizards go into spinning fits and scavs get stuck in loops. it's just a quirk of the system

My 2 slugpups love batflies, I love taking them to the batfly rooms and watching them do the little happy hops

It seems like some glitch... Pups only need 3 foods to get full.
I think there was a bug with them not getting food if co-op was enabled.

Pup just means baby of certain species. It's not just limited to dogs.
slugcats aren't related to actual cats at all, they just look similar. plus tons of baby animals are called pups
