hope this distro gets great support in the future and won't be a dead project down the line, this is really cool! Also how is this for genshin impact? ionterested to see how it is
@@DualWieldingDad Nobara is fantastic! Tried a majority of Linux distro's and by far I have been most satisfied on Nobara. Run it on all my PC's, Windows is DEAD to me and I'm NEVER going back to that dragnet data mining malware skinned as a O.S.
I have ran both bazzite and cachy and I feel cachy gives me a bit better performance an average 5-7 fps per game. Also it is arch based so it os closer to a steam os experience in my opinion.
Sad, but i want and need Bazzite for my mini pc on ryzen 5500u because on windows he fall in bsod in every booting, so i need near 20 tries for start it on windows, but on linux he work just nice and ok. but my main game in what i play is Genshin, and support say thats its against eula for using emulators like proton for launch their game so i stick on windows and cry blood tears every time a need boot this mini pc(
It should be noted that immutable / sandboxed OSes don't work as well for MMOs or games that require constant write-access to outside of its sandbox (Such as fourth-wall breaking ones.) Star Citizen, for instance, would be near impossible to work with under a sandboxed environment, because it streams its assets.
Immutable OS are not immutable on the home patition only on the root partition. every game on SteamOS is using its own wine profile that is stored in the home. I am not sure what you mean but SteamOS is immutable and is sandboxed with wine/proton+presureVessel and it work perfectly on all scenarios. Guild Wars 2 for example is a game that is constantly writing and reading the assets but never get outside the wine profile and it works perfectly fine on any linux distribution including immutable + sandboxed ones.
Thought I really prefer Linux over windows, I can't fully make the switch because of that single game that have a bad joke of a kernel anti-cheat that does not even allow to execute in a VM! 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮And also have hardware that is not linux compatible sutch us tobii 5 eye tracker, thought there are some workarounds for that... But I hope one day this changes and I can finally enjoy my computer as I want! Other than windows, I use Garuda Linux that is also a gaming distro that is based in arch linux!
What’s the limits on the Lenovo
nice video!
it good be nice to see a performance comparison between Windows and bazzite to convince people to switch.
I need to get a spare SSD that boots to windows so I can do these
art of rallye bazzite 1200*800 = 45-60fps jerk vs windows +100 FPS lolllll inconclusive on this game I haven't tested anything else

Genshin and zzz should just work,
Hsr and WuWa at least require tweaking to work, cause of anti cheat.
But you have to install powermanager (long press) to run it
For battery tracker?
@@DualWieldingDadnope. Manager of W power.
Usualy you have to instal it.
Bazzite is Nice, Nobara works well on older PCs with Legacy AMD Video I found out recently

But does it support detaching the joycon parts on the go like on windows? And what about TDP management?
I like cachy os handheld a bit better

Cachyos is best, with unique kernel optimizations
is better than nobara?
