I was just like you when I was in University. I didn’t have anything I was so passionate about so I dabbled in theater, advertising, public relations and broadcasting, although not professionally, just part of our curriculum. Guess what I am now? I am now a lawyer. Cannot say I love it with burning passion, I hate my work half of the time but I know I am in the right place because I feel at peace, secured and I want to show up for the people who rely on me. And yes, I make good money. LOL!

@@sorrisidiniall8075 it is so rare for anyone to say that their current work is their true calling. Based on my experience, I did not actively pursue anything since I am half-half on most things. I just let things run its course and it may sound cliche but you will just feel if you belong somewhere or not. I wish you the best of luck!

I didn’t feel that when I was in the University though my major was mostly geared towards a career in the media. I felt like I’m only good at one-off projects and I cannot follow through creative-wise. You got us hooked with your videos so I must say, you have the gift of keeping us consistently engaged. BTW, I am 36 yo, a wife and a mother, aside from being a busy lawyer, but i enjoy your contents. You are a great story-teller.
So interesting. Did you go back to school then to become a lawyer? I'm considering going for a different degree, again, after having graduated last year and not feeling any of the career options. Would you recommend it? I know everyone's different but... I'm worried I don't have enough time to go back to school even though being a student is my favorite role ever. I love studying. And I don't even confirm to societal expectations but, it's not like I've experienced being this age before and being in this place before, more firsts come my way that I don't have a manual guide for.

오랜만에 이욜님 브이로그 뜨길래 보는데 어느덧 휴학생에 대3이셨군요..!! 속으로 귀여워...!를 외치며 이욜님의 진로를 향한 대장정의 서막과 같은 글을 읽었어욯ㅎㅎ저도 이욜님보다 대략..다섯학번은 많은 것 같은데, 비슷한 고민을 했던 것 같아요. 물론 여전히 답은 명확하지 않답니다.. 그런데 그냥 하나 어렴풋이 알겠는 건, 뭐가 되겠다!는 명확한 무언가 없이, 그나마 좋아하는 것들을 조금씩 경험해나가면서 나의 경로가 점점 생겨나는 것 같아요. 평생 명확해지지 않겠다는 생각도 가끔 들어요. 근데 때론 작은 경험들이 모여서 그냥 나만의 길을 만드는거구나, 그게 명사로서의 어떤 직업 그니까 딱 한단어로 정의되지 않을수도 있단 생각을 한답니다... 평생 한 직장에만 머물러 있는 삶은 이제 지나고 있잖아요..! 본캐와 부캐가 많으신 것처럼, 직업을 선택해도 그게 어떤식으로 진화할지는 모르는 거죠..! 구구절절 쓰다보니 추상적이게 되었는데 무튼..! 아주 멋지게 잘 그려가고 계신 것 같아요!

Oh I can totally relate to not knowing what to do... I talked a bit about this on my last week's vlog... Basically, at 17 I had to pick some university because I finished high-school but I had no idea so I wasted 5 years on a bachelors that I hated and could never find a job opening on (I was actually relieved...). Now I'm working at a chocolate shop and have also a cookery degree and a teacher certificate. My point is, who knows!? We just have to keep moving forward and trust it's going to work out~ 🥰
