  • Pacaya Volcano has been erupting for over a month now. Pacaya is near the capital Guatemala City. The lava flow from the eruption has been slowly consuming the fields and forests around the volcano. We went in to the forest in search of the mouth of the lava flow, of course with local guides. The forest is inside the Pacaya national park and we had to hike around 3 km in rain to find the lava flow. In this stream we show you the mouth of the lava and the area around!

Hi Everyone! We are very excited for this stream. It was raining a lot and we couldn't get the mic out to record this one. So the sound isn't that great. But seeing lava up close was so exciting that we had to document this and show it to you guys! If you have any questions, drop a comment and we will answer them!

Is it? It’s hard to get the scale of it here in Pacaya as it’s not a plain like Iceland

It's really not a good idea to climb on lave flows even crusted it can break open at any moment.
