There're some religious symbolisms in this MV but they're primarily metaphorical. This song and it's accompanying EP were released in early 2021, right in the middle of the pandemic. Asami (lead vocalist) mentioned in an interview that she wanted this track to be a gift to the world during very trying times.

When making this music video, they needed an entity to symbolize the “light of hope,” so they came up with the story of Jesus Christ reincarnating in the present day and regaining the memory of his previous life. (Since Japan is awash in novels and anime about otherworldly reincarnations)
