Thank you for all the information and congratulations on your journey as an NP🙏🏼 i am so happy for you, you are going to do wonderful. Thank you for inspiration 🙏🏼
Thank you for uploading! How long did it take to graduate as taking one course at once and working full time? Are you planning on working as NP after passing the NP test?
I took really long breaks so I took forever. Over a year break. I will make a video talking about the program overview and will talk about this. Thank you for watching!
Thanks for sharing. I just started my FNP program 3 weeks ago on an online school. UTA was one I considered as well. I like the 1 class at a time layout, wish I knew that! I’m take 2 at a time with this program and it’s killer while working.
Really? I did feel supported because every time I emailed them they’d answer back. I may have not liked the answer sometimes since it wasn’t what I wanted to hear BUT every time I had a question or needed clarification they would kindly respond. I also didn’t have any problems with the teachers either. They were responsive too.
Well, good. That was one of my main reasons for looking elsewhere for a FNP program as well as the whole find your own clinical sites. I'll look into it then, because it would be more convenient as far as the application goes with them having all my transcripts etc.
@@williep1626 and yes, I did have to find my own clinical sites and that was hard. Hope you find a school that meets all your needs. Many many schools out there. Good luck
Hi Wendy! Congratulations on your accomplishments🎊🎊. I would like to ask questions about UTA?? Was the program organized? How were the tests in Patho/pharm? What was the most challenging part? And how long was the program? I’m in between uta and Colorado….. thanks in advance!
Thank you! This is a reminder that I have to make that UTA video! In short though, I thought it was organized and the most challenging part was finding my own clinical preceptors. I took over a year break cuz of 2020 so can’t really tell u on top of my head how long the program was. In regards to patho/pharm, I don’t remember exactly but I remember we would get study guides in those classes.
Hi Wendy! Congratulations on completing your FNP program! I had the exact reasons for choosing UTA. A friend recommended UTA, but I also looked at multiple schools and compared them - UTA was the best fit for me in many ways. I also live in CA and currently doing my clinical. Do you live in the Bay Area? Any good NP preceptors you can recommend?
Thank you! No I’m not in the Bay Area. Did you ask UTA for the list of approved clinical sites in California? You should also look into federally health qualified centers. They’re usually willing to help students because they need the help too.
@@LifeAsWendyRN yes, I do have the list from UTA but no luck so far, most of the offices stopped taking students since the COVID19 started. I'll try your other suggestion. Thanks Wendy!
The program was structured different because we were only able to take 1 class at a time so I’m not really sure how to answer this. It definitely wasn’t 12 units which is fulltime
@@LifeAsWendyRN Thanks Wendy. Can I also ask if Concurrent Review Nurse is the same as Utilization Review Nurse? I am hired as a Concurrent Review RN but I’m still adjusting to everything since it is different specialty. I was going to ask you because I saw your video about Utilization Review. Thank you again
How did you decide on FNP? I am in an ADN program currently beginning my BSN concurrently during my ADN. Should have my BSN shortly after my ADN and i want to start planning where i want to end up. I am thinking NP but I am not sure what specialty. I really want to go straight from BSN to masters. Do you think this is reckless?
I worked in primary care and worked with FNP so I was able to see their day to day at work. FNP is more broad and wanted options for the future. I don’t think it’s reckless? I’m assuming You’ll be working as a nurse while getting BSN so that’ll give you some experience
If I wouldn’t have taken a long break, I would’ve finished in 2.5 years. You find your own placement. I did a lot of cold calling to offices. Also emailed the ones in charge of clinical placement at different locations. A lot of networking. If you ask people, someone will give you a lead.
Can i ask how the bsn peogram was i graduate may 9th with my RH degree i live in texas and was lookibt around at different bsn programs with the end goal of fnp would you reccokebd UTAs bsn program?
@@LifeAsWendyRN ah I see. I have a chance to work from home with a great organization and great pay however I was accepted into my state schools NP program. Really conflicted haha. Did you like working from home?
I believe that’s clinicals, right? Just be prepared to learn and be proactive during clinicals. I’ll be marking a video soon for tips for np students doing clinicals
What do you want to know about the FNP program?
Was there a bunch of I-human type of programs for medical examination. People often complain about the Ai programs

Hi! I can relate to your story. I cut back to part-time once I started clinicals. I also worked a M-F job. I bet you are happy you are done. 😂🎉

I too got my BSN from UT Arlington...on the fence about using them for an FNP just because it was so hard to get any support if i had issues.
