🇨🇳 many Chinese believe I am paid by the Americans,

As a subscriber of yours for many years, I have followed you through numerous countries around the world. Europe, central and South America, Asia, and Africa. NEVER, have I seen you dealing with a situation such as this, that you recently encountered in China, with this A-Hole of a landlord. I also find it interesting that the contract you signed with the agency, so conveniently could not be found! I’m inclined to think that this landlord was doing some dealing under the table. I do understand that as a foreigner, and not speaking the language created barriers for yourself to deal solely with this situation. Thankfully, your Chinese friend has stood by your side, and helped you to retrieve that two hundred dollars! For what it’s worth, I hope this friend of yours can spread the word about this jackass landlord, so that other future travelers will avoid this place. I also realize that this landlord does not reflect all landlords in China, because you’ll find the same type of crooks here in the USA. Not a fun experience for you this time around, but another chapter to add in your autobiography! Be well and remain positive! 👍💯⭐️👏😁

Hi Michele good luck with everything 🎉

  • @franko7033

Mój Drogi Michele, I know it is halloween week, but this is the worst nightmare scenario of all your videos! Felt so stressful, like a real horror movie. When you mentioned you would explain about the balcony later I thought the landlord was going to turn up and you would be fighting to see who would be thrown off it. Sheesh! Really glad you are leaving that piece of "rotten chocolate" behind you. Seriously. Please,...wish you a kind and calm welcome in your next destination. Stay safe.

Wow! I'm so sorry you went through this, Michele. Landlords are a problem in every country. It's crazy that he wanted you to clean the room after he rented it to someone else. That landlord is a scammer. I'm so happy you got your money back. Hopefully Vietnam will be a better experience 🙏. Thank you for sharing 👍👍👍.

  • @J.Rahaman

  • @high16200

Hi Michele so sorry for your troubles with this crazy landlord. The situation is really very complicated as you are a foreigner in China or any other country. I also believe this was the worst experience you've been through, but I'm glad it ended well and now I hope to see your next adventure. Be safe Michele.🙏🙏💪💪

I will remember not to stay at that place if I visit China. Wow, I'm surprised you were treated so poorly. Thanks for sharing Michele!

The only negative experience for us in our twenty-day stay was in Chongqing. In our hurry we picked the wrong kind of taxi and after boarding we noticed that his meter was running fast. It was not the usual green or black taxi and when we informed that to the driver, he started to get belligerent. It was our fault, this guy unlike the rest was standing at the door of the mall entrance peddling his taxi. Halfway down when my wife told him to let us down so we could take another taxi he started getting loud. One word silenced him and that was when my wife, through our translator app, mentioned POLICE. He went quiet as a mouse and dropped us near our hotel, but he wouldn't go to the hotel entrance in fear of getting reported. Contrary to our expectation with cops elsewhere, the POLICE still have respect.

something very similar happened to me in korea! I booked a room for 1, 5 months and I asked the owner if it's fine to pay half of the second monthly rent, so I don't need to book 2 months (that would be cheaper), so he could rent out this room. In the end he pretended that he didn't understand me and I had to pay waaay more than for 2 months. i was so angry! also my place had no bed & sheets when I arrived and no heating for 3 days and it was -10°C outside 😅

  • @BeMotivatedChannel

I would go to the police station

  • @hearhere2165

it looks like he was living in an illegal subdivided unit ( his unit was a bedroom ) . That's why the "landlord" ( likely another agent) gave all his money back when threatened with police involvement (not because of the contract ).

  • @StopTheLiess

Landlord from hell 😂 He just didn't want to refund the deposit

  • @StopTheLiess

Its beautiful, it looks like San Francisco and New York all in one
