I failded my original plan but I will make it happen at a later date. Riding in Hardin Co Ohio you can see what my part of the world looks like. Enjoy the ride y'all!
Despite the 300 meters of elevation, it looks flat there. And thanks for mentioning and showing the eagle. It's always great to have an experience like that when you're on the road. Most people dont’t even see it!
If I do not have towards the river, everything in my county is extremely flat and that is where the most wildlife is. That's why I prefer to go that way most of the time depending on the wind when makes it harder to get home and it was very windy that day. I love the wild life. Always looking for it. Thanks for your comments ride on! great day!
So what is your gearing set up? It's pretty flat there. Here we go from a 3900" to over a mile high at Terry Peak here in the Black Hills.I ride the Michelson Trail on an old rail bed on mountain bikes. I am looking at a Catrike Annihilator V series with 26" wheels. But I don't know enough about the internal gear setups to have an opinion. I think I will start out with the standard gearing then upgrade if I have to. Over 2 Grand each front and back for internal gearing from Utah Trikes. What do you think for a gearing set up for me? 60 years old, over weight with high blood pressure. And short legs.
I have the standard Catrike gearing. I would love to have the rolloff hub maybe someday. Seems to do pretty well with the hills. I would think you would be fine.
