I’m Australian and I’m not impressed with all that Frozen Australian Steak, one of the things I’ve been toying with is to learn how to break a beef cow down and do a home kill. I’m not overly fond of how the Thai’s butcher either.
An American is not allowed to buy a house in Thailand. It's not reciprocal. Although over 300,000 Thais have a U.S. green card with full civil and property rights. They get automatic permanent residency in the U.S. and have bought up hundreds of thousands of homes, especially in California and New York. I lived with my wife for 8 years in Thailand and nobody I knew ever was able to get permanent residency in Thailand. (I spoke fluent Thai.) Thai law, in fact, is so racist that even SHE was not permitted to buy a home because she had married me! Yes, plenty of 'farang' try different things to try to get around it. A long-term lease. A usufruct for the ownership of a house but not the land that it is on. Putting it in the name of a Thai. (Lots of trouble and pitfalls with that one, which is still illegal.) Reciprocity is what we should have and what the U.S. government should have demanded decades ago in working for the interests of American citizens.
Most Beef in Udon Thani is Water Buffalo. The Australian Beef is Horrid too!
The Chinese bought the MG brand from the uk way back
And ruined it.

Did you buy the house there? How do the house sizes compare to American houses?
