Thanks for pointing me to this video....If you wanted to blend two photos together without a while background, would this method work? In other words blend one photo directly into another photo without a background between them. Thanks.....
Hi, here is another one, this video blends a color version onto a black and white version of the same photo but the blend technique would also work with other photos. Basically you put each photo onto its own layer and position as desired. Then add a layer mask to create the basic layout. Then soften the edge of the layer mask using Gausian Blur. ruclips.net/video/_-2Sbqh9Z2c/видео.html And here is another one using soft edge vignettes ruclips.net/video/xgNlDH2_wgs/видео.html George

Hi, when PSE runs low on memory it is running low on Virtual Memory, not memory installed on your computer. Virtual Memory is a space reserved on your hard drive for programs to swap memory in and out of as needed. The usual cause of running low on Virtual Memory is having too many programs open. For me it is my email program that gobbles up all of the Virtual Memory, I usually close that when I am working in PS or PSE. A consistent problem with all Adobe programs is that they are Virtual Memory hogs and run best when run alone. Here is a discussion on the Adobe Forums from a few years ago talking about this issue, even though the forum thread is old the discussion is still valid. Read through all of the comments on the thread before deciding to try anything forums.adobe.com/thread/534797. Here is another discussion of the same topic forums.adobe.com/thread/446316?tstart=0 You can also try doing a disk cleanup to clean out any temp files that are taking up Virtual Memory, I have found that PS frequently does not clean up after itself properly. Hope this helps, George
One more thing you can check, in PSE go to the Edit Menu/Preferences/Performance. You can move that slider control further to the right to give PSE access to more physical memory. This is probably not the problem though and is more likely having too many programs open. George
Another way of blending images, different to the the tutorial featuring the cats, and seems to be less work - which can only be a good thing! Like Rich I liked the way you softened the hard edges at the bottom of those two particular images.
Thanks Peter, this technique works well if you are using pictures that all have a white background, or at least a matching background. For a different color background just change the color of the Glow to match the background color. George
